The standings are not final yet but all but two teams are locked in at there spot. Rochester and Lakeville can still tie with Lakeville winning the tiebreaker.
Rochester needed to get their fair play point or tie/win yesterday versus Woodbury. If they didn't get any points and because Lakeville got their fair play point versus IGH-Red. Lakeville will move ahead to the 5 seed.

i agree with hockey. IGH Red and Woodbury pretty much dominate District 8 and will most likly go to state. IGH Red is going to win the whole thing.

So I am looking at the D8 program right now and in the rules section, the 8th bullet point says: "Players incurring five (5) penalties during the same game shall be assessed a game misconduct penalty.
This would lead people to assume that it is 5 penalties and not 3 before someone is kicked out of the game.
Please clarify for me freight.

From what Moen and Rak have told us is that they have to print the rules as they are in USA hockey rulebook and cant change it when printed in the programs thats why it says 5. But in Minnesota we play the rule as 3 and thats the rule we must go by. They know it may cause some confusion but like they said us coaches should know the rule is 3 as it has been that the last 5 season.

OK, I didn't know if D8 switched the rule for playoffs or what the situation was. When I was at the games yesterday (and your team looked pretty good) I noticed that 5 rule thing in the rulebook and kinda scratched my head. Kind of a bad way to have things go if you were Hastings though.
Also, what is the deal with #6 from Lakeville? He summer-saulted on the ice on the way to the penalty box and the ref just looked the other way. And the Lakeville parents were cheering him for taking a kid out at the knees!?!?!

yeah I dont know what the deal was with that.

several of the d8 coaches were talking about this yesterday. They said the rule is 3 penalties and it is the responsibility of the coach to pull the player. Rule came from the same kind of incident at u16 state several years ago. bad luck for hastings if it holds up.

mmmmmkayyyyy... like all of this matters anyways. lakeville is gonna get through to the state tournament anyways. woodbury will be begging for mercy once we get through with them on wed. and for "my upset special", IGH GETS TAKEN BY lowly little ALBERT LEA in the second round. i have another saying and it goes a little something like this... "how you like them apples?"

Here is another saying.......Be careful what you wish for! Remember you lost 5-2 until God intervened
