St Cloud Tech travel to Buffalo to play the quarterfinal game of 8AA. The winner will probably play Moorhead in the semi's. These two teams have been inconsistent with good wins and bad losses.

Bison are at home...they will be ready to play this one, after losing the M8 conference title tonight to Rogers. I'll pick Buffalo by 3-2 score. Get the bus ready to travel to Moorhead. :P

Well, I know Brainerd gave Tech a 5-2 win because of a STC Alliance, but we still have to count it as a good win.

That's what I was referring to. The only good win. But regardless of the rest of your team, if you can beat a team like Brainerd by 3, I'd say that they shouldn't have lost to some of the teams they did by the scores they did. That's all

Bison 5
Tigers 2

If St. Cloud Tech can finish the game they will win. Their losses do not show for how well they have been playing lately. For example. They were tied with Roseau with 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd period. Roseau scores 1 goal, and St. Cloud Tech letsup.

They played fairly decent against brainerd. Brainerds 3rd goal was a little bit of being in the right place at the right time. St. Cloud Tech's goalie got caught up with another player behind the net and got knocked down.

I think, If St. Cloud Tech can pull it together in the 3rd, they should pull out with a win.

Should be good ...I've seen both up close.
5-4 Bison at home, so many close teams playing each other that the Home ice is a big factor IMO

It's a sad day for St.Cloud hockey when the best we can do is a "5" seed between Tech and Apollo

Have no fear Topshelf, the St. Cloud Alliance is rebuilding and gaining strength under the new leadership. =D> \:D/

The rumors of Blanda's demise are greatly exaggerated. He is alive and well at age 79. Check that, I could only confirm he is alive.

Not bad. On its first day of existance, the new Alliance is already providing community service!

I like Buffalo in this one. They seem to be playing good hockey as of late.

Buffalo 4
STC 1

weird game...Tech scored first on shot from goal line...sideways shot hit ziturs skate and went in...Buffalo scored shorthanded on a pretty move by Trousdale. Buffalo pressured in second and popped three goals in within a 5 minute span...tehn Buffalo went into defensive shell. Penalties were about even but Tech couldn't get much going offensively as buffalo continued to dump and chase and didn't make any bad turnovers in their own end.
