From an announcement to college coaches...

The Third annual MINNESOTA STARS OF THE NORTH GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY ALL STAR GAME will be held on Tuesday, February 27th 2007 at the Cloquet Area Recreation Center, Cloquet MN.

Once again K1 SPORTS of Cloquet MN is the presenting sponsor.

34 of the very best Junior and Senior players; nominated by their High School Coach's and selected by committee; from NORTHERN MINNESOTA'S 14 Varsity Hockey programs have been invited to participate.

6:00 pm SKILLS COMPETITION

7:30 pm ALL STAR GAME

9:30 pm Pizza party with players and parents

This game is a great chance to see Minnesota's best go head to head.

Who coaches these teams this year?

When are the players announced?

It may not help any this year, but from the chat last year on the forum it was Feb. 16.

How'd the game go, who won, who scored?

The Team coached by the PHM staff won 4-3 in OT. Emily Erickson had a hat trick

I would take anybody that scores hat tricks like she seems to do so often - you need offense as well as defense. That said, there is always room to improve on both ends, which is probably why Katherine Chute got all of the awards - a tremendous TWO-WAY player that the coaches easily recognize when they see it.

How did Sarah Eames do from Moose Lake? I'm surprised Rachel Borchardt from Moose Lake (G) wasn't on the team.

Eames played very well. I was also very impressed with Brooden from Warroad.
