I do not live in the cities but would definitely be interested in seeing the girls' state games. Does anyone know if they are televised or not?

Yes, both the boys and girls tournaments will be on Hubbard's KSTC 45 (cable 12) in the Twin Cities. I know they have a number of regional affiliates statewide which you can find by entering your city at the web site below.

Also, the games will be webcast for those of us stuck at work :D

I believe the girls only get semifinals and finals but I could be wrong.

I'm just curious for anyone who knows. I live in Duluth. I know I saw the State Hockey games on TV last year but I can't find KSTC anywhere. Does anyone know anything about them in Duluth?

Probably a local cable station. That's how it is in the Grand Rapids area.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but seeidngs are set by section, and can be found at MSHSL, http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/activitypage.asp?actnum=460. Then click on Brackets over to the right.

Yeah, it says that for the boys too, but the boys state tourney is seeded.

They will have to get by Blake and I don't see that happening...

No, they're on opposite sides of the bracket--I think that's his point why he doesn't say "win" the championship game.

Gotcha - I don't see anyone beating Blake in the Class A final, but who knows they might not make it to the final either. You only have to look at last year in boy's hockey, when Holy Angels, the No. 1 rated team in the state practically all year, got beat in their sectional play by Apple Valley. Huge upsets do happen on occasion. But if you have not seen them play, Blake is very good.

Blake will have no easy road getting to the championship game. I believe they would have to go through Hibbing and Alexandria.

Never a sure thing, but if you haven't seen them play I think you will be surprised at how good they are. Their first line is very hard to stop for any team.

I saw them play last night. WOW! The whole team was fast as blazes. And this number 7, Komarek, she's a monster, very strong and very fast. I saw her score the first goal; it was a catch and release faster and harder then i've seen in the a while. But, anyways, the whole team was impressive. Could be hard to beat.
