I do not live in the cities but would definitely be interested in seeing the girls' state games. Does anyone know if they are televised or not?

That is correct; no quarterfinal games and no consolation bracket games. Click on the tournament link from the site above and you'll see te schedule.xk1 wrote:I believe the girls only get semifinals and finals but I could be wrong.
Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but seeidngs are set by section, and can be found at MSHSL, http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/activitypage.asp?actnum=460. Then click on Brackets over to the right.boblee wrote:Another ? probably for Brian. Is the state tourney seeded this year like the boys is?
Yeah, it says that for the boys too, but the boys state tourney is seeded.hockeyrube7 wrote:Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but seeidngs are set by section, and can be found at MSHSL, http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/activitypage.asp?actnum=460. Class A semi-finals will look like THIS:
Blake vs Alexandria
Austin vs Crookston (aye matey)
They will have to get by Blake and I don't see that happening...Sioux Rule wrote:Whomever comes out of Section 8, will be in the State Championship game
No, they're on opposite sides of the bracket--I think that's his point why he doesn't say "win" the championship game. They will have to get by Blake and I don't see that happening...
Gotcha - I don't see anyone beating Blake in the Class A final, but who knows they might not make it to the final either. You only have to look at last year in boy's hockey, when Holy Angels, the No. 1 rated team in the state practically all year, got beat in their sectional play by Apple Valley. Huge upsets do happen on occasion. But if you have not seen them play, Blake is very good.Bensonmum wrote:No, they're on opposite sides of the bracket--I think that's his point why he doesn't say "win" the championship game.
Blake will have no easy road getting to the championship game. I believe they would have to go through Hibbing and Alexandria.MNHockeyFan wrote:Gotcha - I don't see anyone beating Blake in the Class A final, but who knows they might not make it to the final either. Never a sure thing, but if you haven't seen them play I think you will be surprised at how good they are. Their first line is very hard to stop for any team.Sioux Rule wrote:Blake will have no easy road getting to the championship game. I believe they would have to go through Hibbing and Alexandria.
I saw them play last night. WOW! The whole team was fast as blazes. And this number 7, Komarek, she's a monster, very strong and very fast. I saw her score the first goal; it was a catch and release faster and harder then i've seen in the a while. But, anyways, the whole team was impressive. Could be hard to beat.MNHockeyFan wrote:Never a sure thing, but if you haven't seen them play I think you will be surprised at how good they are.
