Any thoughts? I hear Elk River is having a fine season. Any northern teams play them? Results? Predictions? Anything?

Elk River beat Virginia 5-4 in OT over in Coleraine. This is Bantam A correct?

Elk River is a good team. They're really fast. they arent that big though. have to watch number 8 for Elk River he's really fast and pretty shifty. You can't give him any space on the ice.

I'll say grand rapids takes this one. On a pretty good winning streak from looking at other posts, even if some wins were kinda ugly.

Grand Rapids wins 5-4. Another shootout. Elk River came out fast and strong scoring in the first minute. GR battled back with a goal midway through the second, 1-1 after 2. GR scored right away in the 3rd, ER tied it up a few minutes later. Good chances both ways throughout, pretty even game, although neither team's best effort. GR outchanced ER in ot, but failed to end it. Decided to settle it in a shootout which GR won 3-2. All around decent game, but as stated, not great. Both teams have and will need to play better to advance in the post-season.

Great Game.... very clean...lots of hits...

The game eneded in a 2-2 tie..... GR had ice time left.... it was more of a joke then anything.....

Elk River had 4 games in 36 hours....weak legs vs strong legs....give both teams credit...

Not 100% sure, but rumor has it the GR coaches hate ties. Some associations play 17 min periods, some have shootouts to decide things. Guess it's up to the individuals in that association. Wasn't a joke by the way. I don't think either team took it that way.

I bet the Elk River team wasn't laughing after they lost in the shootout.

Goes down as a win for GR, just like if ER had won, they would count it as a win.

OH, and big deal about 3 games in 36 hours, the Northern teams do it almost every weekend.

i was in the game and i thought it was a even game gr had played 10 games in 16 days and won two tournaments after already playing a game on friday the last two weekends maybe weak tournaments but still northern teams dont play easy schedules and we all have to fight through problems a win is a win
