Also, does the Sleepy Eye rink still have the chairs from the old Met Center?
A MORE accurately phrased question might just be, "How many kids on the Sleepy Eye team this year ARE from New Ulm?"

Helget, Beltz, Heiderscheidt, Kopecek, Gilliland, Sellner - SE St. Mary's
Berkner & Klein - SE Public
Yes, Met Center chairs still there.
Not sure about whereabouts of the 2 players.
Love those chairs! Did Bear ever a hockey after high school?
Couple seasons at Tri City
Ended up at Gustavus.
Really solid athlete, also played FB and Baseball.

No changes to Section 3A. The Section 3A thread lives on!

They'll petition down to A.

The following was pulled from the section reasignments thread. Is this a change from years past? Does Marshall have a coop they can drop? I know they are a couple classes bigger in other sports than most in Section 3A.
hockeydad wrote:According to the MSHSL website:
There are no appeals to the placements. There are three ways these could change:
A school drops an activity.
A new school adds an activity.
A cooperative agreement is formed or dissolved.
If your school or team is not doing one of the above, you will play in the assigned section for the next two years. There are no appeals.
The part about cooperative sponsorship could affect a few placements, since they could go down from AA to A by dropping a school.
Considering the chance they aren't eligible to "petition" down, what would this do to Marshall's program? This would hurt them right? Bettman>?

Marshal co-op is with 3 other schools, plus the closest AA opponent is 120 miles away...they will be in A

So, who will Marshall drop?
120 miles once a year for their only playoff game isnt impossible.

With Roseau's enrollment, it is amazing how they compete. Give the 3a teams another 50 years, and then the comment
may be valid. The only other way to make it happen is to start ramping up the recruiting.

Many would consider 0-10 better than 0-2.

Not sticking up for whinner but Luverne did go 1-2 at State last year if that was what you were getting at. 0-10 is not a good record but at least they've made it 5 years. Hopefully 3A can continue to improve and get a some more wins at the tourney.

Once that place is finished, the 3A semis and final need to be moved there. Gustavus needs to go bye bye.
VERY NICE...

Is the Marshall facility really going to be that nice? I heard it was going to be very similar to New Ulm's complex...
I still say Gustavus has the best ice South of I-94

Congrats to Toby Sengvongxay on making the 2015 Minnesota AP All State boys hockey team! It's third team but still a good honor.

Whiner33 don't you ever get tried of being such an _ ss! Oh wait I forgot in your world everyone else has their thumbs up their butts because you got all the answers. Your constant complaining has grown old this season. It is no wonder people in Section 3A dislike Luverne so much.
