I am so exicted only 12 more days
Ashes on our foreheads, a purple haze
When it finally gets here all will be OK
Sections will start around Ash Wednesday
The Catholics will win , there will be no more ties
Theyll get to St Paul to win the big prize
Its all real clear, the message has been sent
Something wonderful is going to happen.....
just Wait Until Lent.

"Meet me at the Liffey!"
ADD A VERSE!
Some of our teams won't be there
that’s true to say the least
Don't let it bother you much
Theres plenty of hops and yeast

It will all be discussed over 1 or 2 beers
The posters will meet and have some good fun
On Thursday between sessions we'll get the job done

Man, has it been cold lately.
As most of you might remember, I work outside.
It was a great winter until the last couple of weeks. A man needs to have a pint of jack in his lunch bucket for this stuff.
I got off early today, some equipment froze up. I coulda fixed it by poorin a little jack on the problem area but what a waiste that woulda been.
Anyway, I see not much has changed on the board. I dont get interested in high school hockey until sections but I thought Id check in.
Whats this Liffey place? Is that some yuppy bar? They probably charge too much for a jack. When I go to those places , I usually sneak in my own bottle.
Anyway, I might as well start early today.
I think illl have a jack right now, anyone care to join me?

Good to know the same old JD is "Back in Black" - haven't seen you around these waters lately - thought you went to rehab. Don't waste too much time on threads like this one - many words and not much substance.

I have already had a few jacks so its hard to concentrate. Where was I?

They pray cuz they heard their precious schools are no match for the Spuds

Well Bash Bro, they have been prayin now for quite a while for the great Catholic teams and their prayers have been answered.
They will be watchin the games from every convent
Cuz there will be 4 Catholic teams in St Paul this Lent
The nuns, the priests ,and Brothers will pray
For success this Lent, it starts on Ash Wednesday
The Spuds will be there , another team will get sent
To get beat by the Catholics, just Wait Until Lent

The Spuds will be there , another team will get sent
To get Hosed by the Refs, just Wait Until Lent
The whine will be deafening, to be heard from Heaven
Nothing will change, in two thousand and seven

neutron 15 makes areally good point
With every little call, their noses get outajoint
The Catholics will win at Lent time this year
While the Spuds cry about the refs and shed another tear
Anyone could see that it wasnt a high stick
Except for the ref, who was a Catholic
I am going to WBL/CDH, what a good game tonight
Head over to Aldrich after having a bite
This whole Catholic thing will be quite an event
Once sections get started, just Wait Until Lent

Its warmin up nice out there. Maybe I can forget about bringin the jack for lunch......naaah. If you wanna know the truth, I bring a little jack along in the ole lunch bucket even in July.
Wine never did anything for me except give me headache.
But it seems like all some people can do is whine about why they didnt win.
"They Recruit"', "The Refs", "We're so small and they are so big"
Like I said, gives me a headache.
But when I get a headache whether its from wine or whining, I do one thing.
I have a jack...and I aint watin till Lent.
Give me your glass and Ill pour one for you.
