Should make for a great season ...and section tournament.

Should be an interesting week in 8AA as both Moorhead and Bemidji visit the "not strong" Rams (Elliott's words)! Looking forward to a couple of good games.

Actually it was 'weak".

But by all accounts they are coming along just fine.

Nice Section win for the Rams over the Spuds last night. Another big 8AA game on Thursday when the Lumberjacks roll into Memorial arena.

January could be fun - we'll see what happens on the 17th & 24th.

I wish 8AA would have their semifinals as a doubleheader at the Sanford Center in Bemidji.

they should keep in neutral and have it in Bagley.

Or is that too close to Bemidji?

You are assuming Bemidji makes it out of the quarterfinals.

Surprised by the Rams last night! It shows that really any team could win this section! Excited to see STMA play some of the "front runners"

The Sanford Center or the Ralph in TRF would be great! Most likely, if they went back to that scenario, the high school league would put it back in St. Cloud, even if by chance Moorhead, Bemidji and Roseau were in the final 4.

Like it the way it is now. Sanford is a nice facility, but love the Ralph (for the final).

Right now, would bet a dollar to a donut that MHD, BJI, and ROS will be in final 4 along with BRD.

BJI's two year reign of 8AA appears to be OVER ... they are in a free fall ... Can't score ... poor special teams ... and undisciplined ... a mere shadow of the team of the past two years.

Elliott - what's going on with your Lumberjacks?

I have been gone out of the country, so have not talked to people
But as I thought scoring would be an issue...
Special teams and discipline is an issue, not as good as they think individually, need to buy into the system and stay with it.
Some minor injury and illness, but every team has to work through that.

I am still working on a deal to bring CM up north......

:o   :D

Roseau edged Bemidji 3-2 tonight at Memorial Arena . . . Shots were close at 29-25 Jacks.

Watch out people - here come the Sheep !
Lost their first 3 just to get us all feelin' cocky Now they win 5 straight & pull off back-to-back upsets by same identical score. I think they picked up a couple ringers in the off-season & have been sandbaggin'.

Also slipping - Taters tied Alex tonite (thanx to the Alex goalie). Last I heard shots were 39-11.

Very competitive, very volatile.

1. St. Mike's
2. Roseau
2. Moorhead
4. Bemidji
5. Buffalo
6. Brainerd
7. Rogers
8. St. Cloud

This section will be competitive top to bottom. Haven't seen STMA, but the 3-0 loss to Buffalo makes me wonder?? Also, Brainerd appears to be better than a #6. I have a feeling that when seeding time comes, it will be a difficult seeding, with teams beating up on each other throughout the year.

I was there and even though Moorhead put up a lot of shots, nothing really stood out to me as "Wow, what a save". They were all pretty generic shots that Randazzo was able to control his rebounds on. And when a rebound was given up, it seemed like Alex had things packed in pretty good to clear it out. So there were a lot of one and done.
