Big weekend coming up here. Will really tell what this team is made of after this I believe....if Kloos can stay hot and they can get scoring from both top 2 lines I like their chances.

Proud of my alma mater tonight. Hopefully the Beavers keep it rolling tomorrow night.

The loss today is a bad one. Nothing against Bemidji but the Gophers needed to win this game.

No offense taken. BSU should never out shoot the Gophers

From what I saw, the Gophers really don't have a lot of top end talent. Their effort was good, just nothing special. Actually, they are lucky they are in the Big 10 or they would have a losing record.

Just brutal.

What? Many would say they have the best "recruited" talent. If you list the Gopher players with their high school or junior rankings next to Bemidji's list of players with their high school or junior rankings Gopher talent was ranked significantly higher when they were being recruited. Was talent rated incorrectly or developed poorly. That part is fascinating.
Are they a year or two older on average? Didn't do the math but don't really care. Coaches can recruit whoever they want.
Like the Gopher basketball article this week that mentioned the 10 reasons why the hoopsters can't win and not one of the 10 reasons was the coaching or recruiting. I guess if you think about it the author may have been suggesting that all 10 reasons are the coach as he's responsible for all of the reasons.

Just going by the eye test.

Hear ya. Talent is probably the wrong word though.
Lack of appropriate coaching, heart and determination are probably more accurate descriptors. Not going to lean on goalie at all. Like the article said this morning, "gotta score 3 to win."

Average team with average players.
Can you coach heart? It's disappointing to see this team get outworked week after week.

Don't speak for everyone. There are a few who give it more than they have EVERY shift. #25 in particular.

Actually, as a group, I don't think it is getting outworked as much as they just aren't as talented. 8 of their wins are in the Big 10, which is extremely weak.

I guess I will have to watch the game tonight. Not sure what to expect but will know soon.

Nice game tonight. I know Penn State is banged up. Gophs are just up and down. Their only downfall may just be youth.

Big series with Michigan starts tonight. A sweep clinches the B10 title, but a split will still put us in the drivers seat. Can they pull it off?

There is nothing better than a Big 10 hockey game. The excitement and anticipation for this series is unbearable. It's been circled on the calendar since the schedule was put out!

Is that the D3 League in Wis?

Nothing can be better than to spot the opponents a 1 goal lead in the biggest game of the year!

Congratulations on another Big 10 championship. Now do they have enough to win the Big Ten Tournament and get into the NCAA? (I am not feeling it.....)

I can't believe anybody cares about the Gophers other than the players parents. The Big Ten is a mediocre conference at best. Minnesota would not finish in the top half of the WCHA or NCHC.

No NCAA's for the Gophs. What happens next?
