Could be the wildest TOURNEMENT in this sections history. If all high seeds do move into the semis, I expect the three finally games to be barn burners.

For the Otters to make it to the X they will need to be sharper in the D-zone than they were Tuesday night vs Sauk. Out of the four teams remaining, FF has the least team speed, but perhaps the most talented top line and arguably the best goaltender. All three remaining 6A games should be crazy intense!

Good to see other FF kids scoring. Wasn't sure if the Otters had more than just the 1st line and 2 Defensemen. Goaltending will be the key to their success as the lack of depth and the fact they haven't played any quality teams outside their conference will be an issue.

All four remaining teams have solid goal tending.

Otters have 4 Good D that compliment each other. Two solid D seldom a bad turnover, one balanced and one offensive. Playoffs do require discipline of both D position and situation awareness.

2nd line is equal to 1st at this time, could argue better. 3rd line works hard and understands role. Expect tight game if can avoid "bad" 5 minute penalty.

Between Breckinridge, Morris/Benson, Wadena, and Wilmar the team had a total of 80 points... If they played those 4 games against a bit stiffer competition those point totals would drop by at least half...

Game has to be played either way. How one team matches up against another on the ice is really the difference. Much can be thrown about on schedules and goals etc. But in the end the game is played on the ice. I think the two semis coming up have the potential for a scary good night of hockey either way, but in these type of loser out games, one has to remember that you only have to beat the other guys once. I like to look at whuo is hot now rather than the whole season etc . When making these predictions. In this case though I really think we have four equal teams and I am not going to predict.
The Otters have had probably their best season in 12 15 years or so , so I am optimistic. I think this group is likely a tough group of players and they seem to have something that a lot of teams have lacked in a great goalie. This said Fergus teams in general seem to get a sticker shock type of reaction when they see the name on a uniform...
Alex has been the top all season and may just continue it through
Apollo can pull upsets
Cathedral is battle tested and has less complacency toward the rest of the field

Agree, all means nothing up to this point. It's what makes the playoffs so exciting and tense.

Good point. One should measure the points the 2nd and 3rd lines have scored against the quality opponents FF has played. My guess is that their stats would be considerably lower had they played some of the teams Cathedral did this year in lieu of the above teams, which only inflated the stats. Tonite will prove how deep FF. If Cathedral shuts down the 1st line like Sauk Rapids did, the FF goalie is going to have to carry them because I do not see much scoring past the 1st line.

Apollo handles The Cardinals at the Cardinal nest 4-2 in a tightly contested Sec. 6A game. Last goal was an E N. The nest was jammed full and must have been nearing the fire code but what a great game!

She was a real barn burner in Alexandria last eve. Apollo upsetting the hometown favorite Cardinals and the Crusaders topping to Otters in 2 OTs to set up an all St. Cloud 6A final in The Cardinal nest.
It was as much fun as I have had watching 2 hockey games.
Each of the games could have gone the other way leaving the Otters and Cardinals in the final unfortunately my favorite Otters came up short as did the Cards.
The Otter club was lead by some of the finest Senior leadership you could ask for and most certainly will have success in any future endeavors. Thanks for a great season!
