Defense- I agree Defense, Apollo is not a team that you want to play right now. They have put together a decent run lately even though they don't have many wins to show for it, they played Little Falls and Willmar tough this week. IMO if they show up they could be as tough as any to beat come playoffs. I still think Sartell has the 1 locked up just because they seem to be playing the best hockey right now compared to Little Falls but you are right, it doesn't matter who is 1 or 2 because they are so close in skill and talent.[/quote]
Can you explain to me why you think Sartell has automatically locked up the 1 seed? between games played against each other they are 1-1. and between the games they played rogers brainerd tech and virginia LF is 3-1 and sartell is 1-4. i dont know how Sartell can have it locked up with those statistics

I think we can all agree that Sartell is the hottest team however seeding is based on the full season in which I believe LF was more impressive. It should be fun and interesting to watch it all pan out.

I think they have it locked up because of the way they have been playing lately. Sartell has been the best team in 6A for a good month or so now and are playing absolutely great hockey also. Their getting scoring from all lines and their goalie has been phenomenal also.

Evidently most of these people do not think so. I have been picking LF as the top seed for some time only to have people tell me this and that about Sartell this last week or two or whatever. One person actually thinks that Sartell is first, WILLMAR second and Little Falls THIRD.....

So LF beating rogers and beating alex 7-1 and oh i don't know having 19 wins still don't have a shot at the 1 seed got it Gordon Bombay99 glad you don't seed the sections or knows what it would look like

I'm sorry, didn't the Flyers lose to Willmar, and barely get by River Lakes and Sauk Rapids in ot?
Sartell, beat and tied Willmar, beat River Lakes twice and beat Sauk Rapids twice.
Look at the last month and compare Little Falls and Sartell's stats and games, then tell me Little Falls is better as of today.

okay so i did my homework.
they split the series 1-1
against common opponents sartell is 12-4-1 flyers 11-2-1
sartell outscores opponents 84-46 lf 54-20
sartell outshoots opponents 31-29 lf 37-24
sartell PP 26% PK 69%!!!!! LF PP 21% PK 84%
that is how i can say LF is the better team!

Fivehole said it best, Sartell has done better recently down the stretch when I think it matters most, their clicking better and not struggling to beat teams like Sauk Rapids, River Lakes and Apollo. Yeah Little Falls may have 19 wins, but they sure havent played like a 1 seed for about a month.

We all know that both Sartel and Little Falls are good teams! But as you were all saying that Sartel has been playing so well, and your rippin on the Flyers for having a hard time beating teams like River Lakes, Sauk Rapids, etc... Well then I'm gonna add that Little Falls is beating teams like Brainerd, Tech, Rogers that Sartel all lost too, badly by Tech and Brainerd. And when your saying that Little Falls struggled to beat Sauk Rapids but they must be playing pretty well when they're taking the number 3 team in the state, Totino Grace into O.T. that's good hockey!

The best team will come out, that's all that matters. It's going to be a good section final. Does 1,2,3 really matter>? NO

Sauk Rapids just lost to Alex 5-0. Not to mention they lost to them earlier in the year too. Oh and they also lost to St. Michael. Every team has at least one game where they play terrible. Totinos' obviously was against the Storm.
Sartell and Tech split this season btw.

All the coaches met today. Are they waiting til Wednesday to release the seedings though?

In sections, the team that comes to play will win, plain and simple. Seedings are just who you play to prove your the best, and if your the best, your willing to take on anyone.
Deuce, I sure hope they don't wait till Wednesday to release them, I want to see what the coaches think.

Apollo upset's #1 Little Falls 3-1 tonight.
