Duluth is finally starting to put it all together. In Wayzata this team has potential to make a splash.

Is there a bracket for this tournament somewhere?

Its halfway into the season and i think the team to beat right now is edina... they can score and have a pretty tight defense, they do have goalie issues though. I just want to see them play higher quality teams like ep, centennial, wayzata, and minnetonka. they have played wayzata 3 times and beat them all 3 times with 7 3, 5 0, and 2 1 scores but wayzata took it to them in the last two games. I feel as though edina can be topped but at the end of the year look to find them at the top of the standings.
Halfway Pred. Final. 1 edina 2 ep 3 cent. 4 wayzata 5 tonka 6 wessys boys

Edina has goalie issues? Not what I have seen. They have 2 solid goalies that have not in let more than 3 goals in a game, and even thathas only happened a few times. In the last week Edina played wayzata twice and the same goalie played both games for Edina, shutting out wayzata for 5 periods and allowing 1 goal in the final period. A total of around 45 saves. I think what might hurt Edina is there D. They tend to fool around with the puck and make blind passed to the other team, but indeed they are the team to beat.

You seem to be pretty familiar with edina. Do you know why Webb didn't play for them this year and what you think they should do with that Hach kid he seems to be slowing down there offense alot.

Webb got cut from varsity and did not try out for junior gold. Hatch is the fastest kid on the ice, always. He speeds up the offense!

I've been checkin out metro hockey league and lookin at recent records of the top teams it looks like EP and Centen. are the teams to beat now. They skated to a tie between each other but other than that have played solid hockey. Where as edina seems to be slowin down now that they are finally playin teams with some offense. Whats up with there defense in the game at wayzata that number 15 gave us the puck to tie it. Edinas over rated come playoffs they will just be a middle of the road team.

How is Wessy's Boys this year? I see on MetroHockeyLeague.com they have given up more goals than they've scored but are still on top because they've played 15 games and have most of their HEP points...

I don't think you're giving wayzata enough credit they they have played close games against tonka, wessy's, and edina. Not to menchin they have beaten ep in the tonka tourney.

Wayzata played EP 6 weeks ago. It was EP's 2nd game. My rankings are based more on recent play.

Example: the Wild beat San Jose the #2 team in the western confernence 3 weeks ago, but the Wild are still middle of NHL power rankings.

Based on what I've seen, Wessy's and WBL are deeper in talent that Wayzata.

Feel free to post your own top 10 for JGA...

I do not think Wessy's Boys is as deep as Wayzata, however WBL is definitely much deeper than Wayzata.

Also your giving edian to much credit if your going off of recent play they barely got by wayzata and tied white bear there play is on the decline. this is what i think the top ten should be
1. EP
2. Centennial
3. Edina
4. White Bear
5. Tonka
6. Wayzata
7.Wessy's Boys
8. Duluth
9. Eagan
10. Burnsville

1.EP
2.Edina
3.Minnetonka(although I have not seen)
4.Centennial
5.Wayzata
6.Jefferson
7.WBL
8.Wessy's
9.Champlin
10.Eagan/Burnsville/Blaine

I did base this a bit off of the Wayzata tournament. I felt like Edina was good, but EP will be a stronger team. I felt like Jefferson proved themselves in the games vs. WBL and Edina, and I saw Wessy's boys slide off a bit

Jefferson lost to WBL, how does that justify them being ranked ahead of WBL?

Jefferson lost and beat wbl so it could go either way.

from what i know jefferson blew a 4-1 lead on white bear in the first game to lose 5-4, and in the wayzata tournament jefferson beat them 6-4. to also give reason to that ranking, jefferson beat minnetonka and played a tight game with edina in which they controlled the first two periods..but hey..who really cares about a little ranking

Way to support your own team. All of your games that I have seen have been close. No blowouts

I agree Duluth has not played bad, A goal here or a little defense there you folks would be in these tournaments. For a young team these are things you expect with things being on the correct path for the end of the year. You sound like someone who may not be olaying anymore.

haha no i play, its just exactly that, its frustrating losing every game by 1 or 2. I know we will be clicking by regions, but rankings are for right now, and right now we dont deserve to be there. Coming from east teams that lost maybe 5 games all year, only having 7 wins this year is tough. It will come i know that, maybe at WBL? Who knows, we actually work at practice now, its possible.
