Don't see it. Their SOS will be the best thing for them, but will only hurt them in the rankings. Where are all the rankings that involve SOS as well?

Got to love the LPH rankings. Hill moves up one but hasn’t played anyone, same with Irondale they move up based on their win against NSP, but WBL drops two after beating those same polar’s along with two others and BSM jumps up two off two ties. What ever happen to the QRF? I liked having the ability to compare and contrast teams from one source based on speculation (LPH) and one that is firmly with out bias (QRF).

StarTrib had them losing Friday night, Buffalo 3, North Wright County 0 F, is that wrong?

Assuming joehockey meant North Wright County (I don't believe there is an East Wright County) then they are no longer undefeated:

I was thinking after this weekend's games that there might be just one undefeated AA team left (Hopkins) and this appears to be the case. Thanks to joehockey for posting the teams' records and the footnotes. Lots of parity this year! Looking ahead and trying to guess who might knock Hopkins off it's throne, it looks like Minnetonka (Dec. 16) and Edina (Dec. 20) will have the best chance, prior to the Edina tourney Jan. 1-3.
At least for now, you'd probably have to say that, besides Hopkins, only undefeated Warroad can lay a legitimate claim on being the best team in the State overall. They had an incredible weekend, and now have wins over five ranked teams: Minnetonka, Holy Angels, Crookston, Hill Murray and Edina. Undefeated Blake is excellent also, but so far they have only beaten two ranked teams, Breck and Edina. So you would think Warroad will jump over Blake and take over the No. 1 position in Class A this week. I would guess:
1. Warroad
2. Blake and
3. Roseau
is how it'll end up in A.
In AA we may not see any change in the Top 4, but I would guess GR/G will take over at No. 5.

I agree with MNHockeyFan. The QRF rankings should help define things a little too. Warroad is very good and proved it this weedend. Being a Hopkins fan, I wish we played Warroad this year.

Since the Pioneer Press has Farmington in the top 10 maybe the Edina vs. Farmington game should be on the games of the week this week.

I don't see Edina in those rankings. Then again those rankings are a joke.

Edge, did you forget to add one of these?
If Farmington beats "unranked Edina" (according to the Pioneer Press) then we'll start adding them to the Big Games thread next week.

hockeyrube7,
Easy mistake since the North Wright County River Hawks youth teams did originally play as the East Wright County Lightning. Today, both the youth and high school co-ops play as the River Hawks.
Also, I think the Buffalo win was an upset (I'm a Buffalo supporter). This is the River Hawks year and I suspect only Elk River and Bemidji could possibly stand in their way of a state tournament visit.

No arguement here! Just making sure. So if you were all still Wright County as in the old days, I bet they would be even better. Must have been a great rivalry game.

I would agree with that. Moorhead was totally out played by Bemidji even though he score was close. Shots were something lke 2-1 and time of possession was very lopsided

Back then it was the Wright County Blades....they made one trip to the big show before the co-op was split up.
There is definitely a rivalry.....with the winner getting the traveling "cup"!
However, during the off season players from both teams (plus some Elk River & Rogers players) play together on the Northern Lights so it's a friendly rivalry.

Probably no big surprises in AA but based on Warroad's performance this past weekend you would have thought they would take over No. 1 in A (even though Blake obviously has an outstanding team also).

I don't understand why WBL keeps falling. Only losses were to top five teams, two of which went to OT.
