Its just who ends up with the most points....games played or not...it doesnt matter...it is gonna be a close one!!

i believe there is a 25 game regular season limit. unfortunatly for litchfield, west doesn't have 25 games, they lost a game somewhere between this and last season. I'm not sure if the post season technically counts toward the scoring title, but if it did, obviously whoever makes it furthest into sections/state will probably win since it's so close and one more game might make the difference

This is the regular season points...not post or pre season....all teams get a regular season..not all teams get a post...so it would make sense to stop it before sections....then a seperate one for after...

Beau Hanowski had 2 goals and an assist last night so he's at 58 I think.

No more excuses the only reason Litchfield would win the scoring title is he plays in a weak section and against weak opponents. Except for a certain few teams.

well
PAL... obviously anything can happen. i'm pointing out if they maintain the scoring pace they're on vs the kind of competition they have left, litchfield is in the best position to win the title. it's not like i'm rooting for the kid. lourdes needs to beat west to get the #1 seed in section 1A. to do that they'll need to shut down the litchfield/leivermann line as much as possible. as far as the level of competition. none of the 3 play as many tough teams as brown from rosemount or johnson from denfeld does. that's the breaks. you play the teams that are on your schedule. doesn't mean they aren't still skilled players.

so this guy is an idiot?...hes gonna play in the WCHA and he says its only because of his schedule....some people crack me up....someone HAS to play the weaker teams....its a fact of life (hockey).....it just happens to be that there are some exceptional players on those teams.....

I know that Leivermann committed to Mankato State, but Litchfield did too? That would be cool if they are teamates again in the future.

Leivermann is the one that committed to MSU, he has been down in points now due to suspension. They were almost even in points when Leivermann got suspended. Litchfield has not committed anywhere, but is planning on going to play juniors somewhere next year.

My fault on this one...i thought the post was about lieverman but it was about litchfield.....he is not commited to the Mavericks....but Lieverman is.

Agreed, I think it would be hard for anyone to say that you arent a "skilled" or good player if youre anywhere on the list of prospects for the point title. If they do (as we already see someone with envy has) they are pretty much blowing smoke. The title only means that you accumulated the most points. Something you do by being a good player. If you want to argue about who the best player in the state is, go to that post.

According to today's Duluth News Tribune Jake Johnson actually has 63 points on the season - 20 G 43 A. It also said that Chris Stafne has 56 points - 35G 21A.

once dave meyer gets back from back surgery (from carrying the team on his back) he will snipe bar down top PLEASE BAN ME all day and easily take the title.
everytime he gets on the ice the point keepers tally a point to save themselves time for when he does a backhand tole pole behind the back to himself and goes bar down twice on an empty net

Mankato West has a terrible schedule. I think JT Brown would have 150 points already if he played on the same line as Lievermann in the Big 9. The big 9 is way way down this year. And why do people say Mankato State? It's Minnesota State Mankato. Must be the people from the Farming area of the state. Mankato State? That doesn't make sense at all.

actually one may be confused if they are not familiar with the naming techniques of the schools. Take for instance St. Cloud State...one might see that and just figure its Mankato State.
I know that most people just refer to it as Mankato now.

If comparing the Lake conference to the Big Nine makes you feel good have at it but I don't think you need to have so much envy when Rosemount is doing so well. The Big Nine is actually very strong on the top end this year (for the Big Nine.) Enlighten us on why you think the Big Nine is so "down"
By the way, it used to be Mankato State and to most people it will always be Mankato State. It sounds alot better that Minnesota State Mankato.

That in no way was a shot at Rosemount. I am saying JT Brown is a much better player if he can score that many points against legitimate teams. The Big 9 is way down because the 3 Rochester teams who are usually the best are not even better than Owatonna. Austin has 0 wins, and has a chance to beat Mankato East who is just as bad. This is the worst the Big 9 has been in a long time. And they are not "Very strong" at the the top. Having Century take 3rd in the state last year is very strong.

150 points would be amazing for anyone, in fact I believe the state record is only 111 so I would say you are playing up JT Brown for some reason or another. I don't even see him taking the title let alone breaking any records

First off, i understand 150 pts was an exaggeration, but Are southern minnesota defensemen along with the big 9 all of a sudden cones? It's not like Brown would walk all five players and score every shift. Just cuz he plays harder competition doesn't put him on a pedistal. If you're one of the top point leaders in the state, you have to be good. It's not like anyone can just score whenever the want. Let's no keep bashing other people's schedules. This is about who will win the state scoring title. Rigth now i have to agree with Eaglehockey, that it'll probably be Litchfield with Leivermann coming back, or Beau hanowski with Ben coming back from injury also to give a boost.
