Bronc- I agree! Some parents can ruin a good thing.Bronc wrote:Being missed here is that some times it is the parents of the players they do not want back in the association, not the player.BoogeyMan wrote:Dawg- As for banning tomASS? I was being sarcastic. He has pleaded for me to be banned at least a half dozen times. When it all comes down to it. Not one person has the correct formula. All kids develop at a different pace. Some kids love to play 24 hours a day. Some kids get burnt out. There is no way someone can tell me what's best for my kid if they don't know me.watchdog wrote:the thread was started with a question and we have debated the answer. this forum is a good battlefield for the war on AAA hockey. first of all im all for AAA (in the summer) second of all you love hockey why would you support something that could destroy association hockey which is without a doubt the roots of hockey here in minnesota. you call for lee to ban tomass why? because he has a diffrent point of view on a very heated subject? hes not swearing or making any personal attacks. you talk about people being in it for themselves. i find that very interesting. to me its a very selfish and self serving move to abandon your association for a AAA hockey club.
Go Roseau! Are we going to get a repeat champion this year?
At times when they left it may have been due to other issues other than giving the skater a greater opportunity. Maybe they didn't like the coach, position skater playing, quality of the team, etc.
Either way it is unfortunate that the kids loose out or are put in a bad position by adults.

You two need to get together and have that beverage.
Question is, which one's having the oil and which one the water?

I'm having the oil, because he can barely hold his water.![]()
It's hard to be a Purple and Gold fan with the new high school coming in. Nothing against anyone or any association. People and associations are already making the switch. Time to start wearing Navy Blue and Vegas gold. Here comes the Storm.![]()
as unfair as it its he bantam private school problem does happenMoreCowBell wrote:You are a clown to even ask this question. Does this also mean that if a kid is attending private school he should be discriminated against for a spot on the Bantam team?

I didn't really know what to expect. Can't say there's a surprise... SOME (not all) people would have a problem with it. There might be kids that leave and return only to have a challenge because someone has a problem.Tenoverpar wrote:Otown,
Did this survey go the way you thought it would or were the results what you expected? It seem as if the majority are not necessarily for AAA, but feel it can be done...with a limited few feeling that AAA is an erosion problem for the associations.
Just wondering if it went how you expected...
Would anyone by chance have a copy of this article from the Trib as we're not subscribers and can't pull it off the website. Thank you!keepyourheadup wrote:A kid has every right to return to association hockey, to deny anyone the opportunity is against what community based programs are all about, the placement of the player in question is what becomes the problem. Some will argue that without loyalty put them on the b team, we're trying to develop a High School team. I say let them play at the level and on the team they belong. The Trib had a great article relating to this subject a week or two ago...its all about the development of the individual not the team..get use to it folks its here to stay. As a parent I'd be more concerned about the child being accepted by his teammates and the tense social environment that is sure to be created upon their return.
