PB:
Your wife and Lucia appear to go to the same hair stylist (Roberto's at Galleria d'Orphanage). Is that lovely color Grand Rapids orange?

What I do know is that the Vikings QB is TJack.
Watching him play.........."Its Like a Nightmare"
Good to hear from the "bored" drunk again.
A lot of people dont know this but jackdaniels is actually a graduate of The Blake School who went on to Macalster college to become a liberal.
Upon obtaining his degree in , what else , Liberal Studies, he couldnt get a real job so he worked on the Dukakis, Gore and Kerry campaigns after which he started drinking heavily.
He hasn't stopped and now works odd construction jobs and lives in a mobile home down by the river.
His life, like the local sports scene......."It's Like a Nightmare"

and we have come full circle!
My question for the Flannel Panel; just from those representing the conservative plaid party, does Victoria Secrets sell flannel negligees or is it Victorian Rumors. Ya know Christmas is just up ahead

tomASS it looks like you could PM Slappy or BIAFP, they seem to have a line on ladies flannel based on the pictures a page back.

Well , The Flannel Panel will be adressing these issues and more I am sure.
Hopefully, the reference by tomASS to Chistmas didnt offend anybody. Remember, there could be school board members reading this.
We havent had a poem for awhile so here goes:
The Vikings are bad
Goper Nation is down
The Twolves are lookin
Like a circus without the clowns
The Wild is struggling
The star player is always out
The next thing you know
He'll come down with the gout
Lucias boys barely beat Mankato State
Its looks like those guys forgot how to skate
The Twins never took off, never went on a tear
I am wearin a flannel shirt and......"It's Like Nightmare"

Iraq
Three nineteen/gallon
Stands filled with Badger red
Lemaire buried in a deep conference
Iran
Knowing the Flotilla will be a little smaller this seaso
Empty seats in the Barn
AP’s knee
Nick Punto starting at second
It’s going to get worse before it gets better
Garnettless Wolves
Hillary
Tarvaris Jackson
Monroe will be the headline off-season acquisition
Awful Gopher defense
Ryan quit the Twins when the going got tough
Eight and one Green Bay Packers

I can only recall one shopping experience for my wife that was noteworthy and fun. Use to hang out with some hockey dads and we use to do a "boys night out" We turned it into a boy's Christmas shopping day out. We started at 10:00 AM at the MOA at the Great American Sports Bar for Bloody Mary's and to devise a strategy. Well lets just say we gave ourselves 15 minutes to get gift certificates lunched at Hooters and then ended up downtown and ended up cabbing it back to the SW suburbs sometime in the early morning hours.
The Christmas shopping hangover .....
"It's Like a Nightmare"
because the additional shopping I had to do again for the make-up gifts.
It wasn't priceless........

Is the writers strike over?
At least we're not Knick fans.
Talk about nightmares...

The Wolves play a game I care little about.
So why sweat when the headlines read "Lakers in a Route"?
The Vike's lost my interest with their fun little cruise.
Haven't watched four complete quarters since I read that news.
All of these things for which I have little care,
Do not rob me of sleep ... there is no nightmare!
Tryouts are over. Or haven't you noticed?
There's plenty of hockey to fight your neurosis.
Bantams and High School and Gophers and Wild,
All playing a game you've loved since a child.
Sometimes it gets bumpy. It may look bleak today,
It's not how you start, but how you finish (so they say).
So come on, Packerboy, awake from your bad dreams,
This cannot be worse than the Stockyards smell, it seems.
I say to this Bored: No more Nachtmares! No more night sweats!
This all can be cured simply with a few pucks in the nets.

Panther's has an optimistic rhyme
It is noble indeed
But sweet dreams are not in our future
I think most would concede
The high school scene we love
That was once clean and pure
Is now frought with politics and transfer rules
Almost too much to endure
What is wrong has been covered here
IS created a list and it was quite a feat
He touched on all the letters
But it was not complete
There is toe tapping in restrooms
OJ and Paris have blown a gasket
Where is this world heaed?
To hell in a handbascket
Tryouts are over ?
Dont think that, dont evn dare
This week around a lot of homes

Attention, Attention!
All rise for the playing of the International Anthem
Eve Of Destruction
By Barry McGuire, 1965
The eastern world it tis explodin',
violence flarin', bullets loadin',
you're old enough to kill but not for votin',
you don't believe in war, what's that gun you're totin',
and even the Jordan river has bodies floatin',
but you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
Don't you understand, what I'm trying to say?
Can't you see the fear that I'm feeling today?
If the button is pushed, there's no running away,
There'll be noone to save with the world in a grave,
take a look around you, boy, it's bound to scare you, boy,
but you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
Yeah, my blood's so mad, feels like coagulatin',
I'm sittin' here, just contemplatin',
I can't twist the truth, it knows no regulation,
handful of Senators don't pass legislation,
and marches alone can't bring integration,
when human respect is disintegratin',
this whole crazy world is just too frustratin',
and you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
Think of all the hate there is in Red China!
Tehn take a look around to Selma, Alabama!
Ah, you may leave here, for four days in space,
but when your eturn, it's the same old place,
the poundin' of the drums, th pride and disgrace,
you can bury your dead, but don't leave a trace,
hate your next-door-neighbour, but don't forget to say grace,
and you tell me over and over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

Well, Barry sure had it right with that inspirational and timeless tune.
But for Minnesota sports fan, his little diddy would be considered downright upbeat.
Lent is a party compared to whats goin on around here these days.

your right I wouldn't know what to do with a woman who wore negligee
(whew..got out of that one) but something without footies and a locking zipper would be nice.
Maybe I will just get her the entire Red Green collection for me to watch.
