famr or is it farmer, anyhow it does not matter the size of the association , it matters on how you can compete, look up the that word in the dictionary, , If size of association is your key to success, then dont go playing teams like Roseau, Warroad or that matter anybody north of I -94 , because they, are small also, and if size matters so much to this well then i guess the big ones like Edina Centennial, E.P. , Wayzata maybe dont want to play you guys because your small to them, ,, You just dont make any sense , and with each comment you do , you destroy your credibilty , what little you have left,
Time to go milk the cows now, ,, let the Bison roam

forgot the key one to you farmer, why is it you cant get these big assocaitions to travel to Buffalo for scrimmages, just maybe they will not want to travel there either for scheduled league games if you move to another district, the shoe will be on the other Hoof for the Bison then,,,,,,,,,,,, still failing to see the LOGIC in your comments

BOY OY BOY your twisting up some stuff UNpuckeyone and now your getting all bent out of shape over my comments. I know if I were a farmer I would take offense to your farm jokes..plus I would almost guarantee many farmers have a ton more $$$ than you UNpuckeyone.

Like I told RL...I dont force you to respond to my comments...which BTW are normally spot on...you choose to respond because your mind is small and you cant see the big picture...even Famer Haters like CNT have not run to your defense on this one.

Because if they wanted to travel they could find 4 teams within a 10 mile radius...why would Eden Prairie want to scrimmage Buffalo when they could scrimmage Minnetonka and why would they travel to do it?

Thinking and reading is allowed on this board Neutron...oh I forgot you usually only look at the pictures...which I am sure you will rspond with followed by another picture from CNT...have at it boys...

Hey Famer...be easy on Neut...he was asking a valid question. Your answer, though, is absolutely correct. :D

You'd be amazed at how far teams would travel for a good scrimmage and free ice. I'll ignore the rest of your post. This time.

Key point..."good scrimmage". Buffalo wants to get better and believes that by playing better teams on a regular basis, they will get there. Unless it's a strong year for Buffalo, some of the teams they want to play won't generally consider them a "good scrimmage", hence the merit in HOFam'rs post.

So its in everbodys best interest to have Buffalo switch districts so better teams are forced to play them?

You hit it on the head...you're a quick study! In the same way D5 teams want to keep Buffalo around for "better" competition, Buffalo wants to leave to find better competition. I'm not as informed as others on this issue but last I heard, neither D3 or D10 wants Buffalo. I imagine Buffalo is hoping MN Hockey will force someone to take them or for a complete reoganization of the districts. It is not a stretch to see some grouping that would include: Elk River, Rogers, Champlin Park, OMG, Buffalo and any others you would like to add (St. Cloud area?).

Again, I'm sympathetic to Buffalo's case but like many here, I don't see an easy solution that doesn't affect others.

SBD,
And why do you think D-3 or 10 do not want Buffalo?

Like I admitted, I'm not as informed as others on the topic but I have heard that neither district is interested in adding Buffalo. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that. Before Rogers had a rink, I used to recall my D10 friends complaining about driving all the way out to Buffalo to play Rogers.

Just looking at the number of teams in District 10 and the distance they already travel, I'd be surprised if adding Buffalo would be appealing to them (again, just my opinion). Of course, you could split it up (which wouldn't be the craziest idea).

D3 is more of a "metro" district and although the Buffalo school district extends to OMG and Wayzata school district boundaries, I doubt that Blake, Hopkins and St. Louis Park are going to want to add Buffalo to their league travels (IMO).

I think if Buffalo had a place to go to their efforts would have more momentum.

Last I heard, which has been awhile ago now, D5 (maybe it was MN Hockey) was trying to get St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids to move into the disitrict with Sartell. That would give a little more credability and competition for the top teams in D5. I've aslo heard that St. Cloud doesn't want that to happen for competition reasons also.

Good point. One of my contacts from Sauk Rapids had said they were interested in moving to D5. I'm not sure if that was an individual opinion or that of the association. Either way, if it makes sense for Sartell to be in D5, the other St. Cloud area teams would not be out of place in D5 either. Of course you could easily add Rogers and Elk River too....then watch the fur fly!

Yeah our new farmers market in Rogers would explode with all the new suppliers if that happened, are there a lot of trappers in D5...??we can open a tannery if needed.

With Scharber's, your prominent sewage treatment facility and Cabela's....I think you have everything pretty much covered!

I still can't believe Mills Fleet Farm picked Monticello over Rogers!

Yeah! D10 wouldn't let them in because they already have enough quality stores, so it wouldn't really improve the competition, plus Buffalo was complaining that the drive was to far so they had to settle for a D5 site.
