NO CAKE WALK FOR ANYONE !
TRF found out when Crookston locked the gate and threw the key overboard shutin' 'em out 1-zip!!
And Irishman Shanty thought with a smile, "see, I told you I was 'hip'" !
But just like I said, not far back in this thread, "heads'll be rollin'" 'fore folks get to bed!
Tonka beat Hopkins 5 to nothin', t's when I found out, I'm out of muffin!
Kennedy met AValley, not far from some lake, losing 4 to 0, not much of a break!
Grand Rapids gave Eveleth another "shutout', scoring 10 to their nothin', t's what it's all about!
John Marshal crushed Austin pumping in 9, sending a message, and drawing the line!
Like when Blake rolled right over, Saint "L
uise" Park, or was it Spring Lake Park?, I'm still in the dark!
Either way Blake beat 'em by 8, shutting them out, but discovered no cake!
From there it got tougher, when HTown met Cloquet, sayin' "you ain't goin' nowhere, at least not today"!
Who would've guessed, they'd skate to a tie, neither team scoring, it sure wasn't I!
CDH found out, they should o' listened to me, when Forest Lake tied 'em, at 3 in OT!
Monticello did surely, get the message I sent, tying the Buffalo, way before lent!
EP and Jefferson, they too in OT, when Jefforson had 2, but EP had 3!
Roseville 'SIX' and Stillwater 'three', you don't think that Rosevilles listenin' to me?
Dodge City scored 4, and Minneapolis West scored 3, who won this game?, try math by b
blee!
Tech beat Apollo 3 goals to 2, its all "Up for Grabs", Tech knew it too!
Brainerd beat Bemidji, 2 goals to 1, looks like ol' "barnyard" had a little more fun!
White Bear Lake took Woodbury, out to the shed, scoring 4 to just 1, but no cake, like I said!
Centennial did lose, to ol' Maple Grove, If I'd seen that comin', down I'd've drove!
Must've been somethin, that 3 to 2 game, wonder if the "Cougars'll ever be the same!
Wayzata beat Edina, who would've guessed?, still think Edina, are close to the "best"?
AHA{8} sent Osseo{2}, lickin' their wounds, playin' "outlawed pipes" with their "outlawed tunes" !
Which brings us to M
RHEAD, who defeated Green "w
ve", scoring 8 to just 1, before S,S, 'n' Shave!
But still f
ls insist, that it's not "Up for Grabs", I'll be chargin' my beverages, to all of their tabs !
At over 44,000, the "views" count checks in, as Mayo(4) "whopped" Fairbault(1), to tally a win!
Yeah this is February, just like I said!
"No Cake Walk For Anyone" and no time for bed!

Not long ago, they were shipless and frail
Yet on the horizon, six of them now sail
A Sloop, a Caravel, a Frigate what more
A Galleon, a Schooner; all stolen in war
What is the sixth, as you try not to shiver
A new Brigatine, and her keel reads Thief River
With each port of call the fleet will expand
If not by sea, they will comith by land
Just a word of warning to all in our path
Darkening the lighthouse beacon, will not save you from our wrath
Try as you might to avoid this fine Raida
But chances are good, we’ll being seeing ya lata

When slapshooter wakes "Up"
I am sure he'll report
On last nights games
He is such a good sport
He will rhyme all the news
With emoticons "for' effect
But rest assured of his motives
A Spud bias I detect
He "Grabs" for all the Spud info
And he does it real fast
But the champioship win
Is still "Out of Their Grasp"

No, its OK Mr. runnerup fan. The Champions will be fine.
If your precious Spuds played in a decent conference, they would get challenged once in a while too.
The tough season schedule with confernce foes who go after you every night will serve the great and glorious Catholic Raider defending champs well , come Lent...."just like I said" and just like it happened last year.

Whats this "packerboy wrote" horse dung.
Lets talk like men instead of word processors.
Your favorite team cant win the big game. Mine can and has. AP's did a long time ago and "My God its full of Stars".
I am callin it now. CDH will win and win in a big way.
If not, then some other Catholic team will win....maybe, I hope.

Century is cruisin ahead of Lakeville
While Woodbury's chasin' CDH still
Roseville and White Bear, Centennial and Hill
Will make sections in 3AA a definite thrill
Blaine and Maple Grove- it's hard to say
As the mighty Holy Angels are runnin' away
Edina is lookin' like the Hornets of old
While Tonka and BSM are searchin' for gold
The Hounds and The Jacks they better stay hot
'Cause GR, The Elks, and Brainerd want it alot
The Spuds and The Rams it's easy to say
Are the cream of the crop in 8AA
There's probably some team I left off this post
Who will turn one of the favorites into burnt toast
That's why we check in here just to keep tabs
You are right Slappathia it's all up for grabs

Now come the "posters", displaying their talent!
Puttin' it out there, and soundin' real gallant!
"Up for Grabs" get's lots of attention,
My A&R staff?, I'll drop them a mention!
For indiangrad-80, with his words up above,
So inspirational, and done with such love!

This song is about, our "HOCKEY WORLD" !
Although I can't say, if he can sing worth a
The guy ain't half bad, please pass the ham!
Yeah it's all "Up for Grabs", just like I said !
And poetic "posters" are flooding this thread !
Seeking fame 'n' fortune after checking the "views" !
Over 45,000, sought out the news!
So come on you "ShakesBeers", let's see what you got!
Though it's colder than

Early in the Morn the "Fleet" sailed west
Searching for treasure in a North Dakota chest
To Bismarck they went with the wind at their back
At the end of the quest lay some Patriots to attack
Their pads were still wet from the evening before
Yet found themselves down as the entered the door
Fear not my sailors cause they always start slow
It's not til the third when they begin to go
Like lighting from the sky they tied it a three
Quicker than most can step up and go pee
But just then the home team went up again
Could our boys answer and evolve into men
Answer they would as they've done recently
Oddly it came after they took a penalty
The OT was scoreless as all shots were a mis
