Yes today. I dont like the way they are seeding this year. The coaches arent meeting they are voting via E-mail
Coaches have done that for at least the last 4 years in Section 1A. So it's no different than those years.

Why are you surprised... Which team above them should move down?
Even as the fifth seed, I think Red Wing has as good a chance as any of the top five seeds. There is some real balance in this section.
it should be a fun one to watch.

I think in round two or semis we might get to see some upsets.

i was hoping AL would be 4th or 5th so there would be a chance of a West v. AL section championship.. that would be a great game

There is a good chance of a West vs. AL semi, which will be a great game. The other semi will be awesome too! Lourdes vs. NP or Red Wing.
I wish those games were back to back next Saturday instead of noon and 6. I don't have any interest in watching the 1AA games. Single A is the big show for section 1 this year!
Does anyone see any upsets in the "play-in" games? Or will the high seeds win?

i think northfield has a chance to upset albert lea.. but i suppose it depends on which albert lea shows up.. AL v. West albert lea or AL v. Mayo albert lea.

AL had 1 poor game all year, the Mayo game. They played without their second leading scorer and senior captain. I'm fairly certain they will put their best foot forward.
Where was the Red Wing/New Prague game played the other day? That game should be interesting. Anyone have the shots on goal for that one as well?

How did New Prague and Red Wing do this season in both of their games.
I want to get the New Prague kids back in our tryouts for Section 1 Elite II this season. I found out that only one of their kids made the Elite II team for Section 6.
I think Red Wing has a nice team. Who is the goaltender for New Prague what year in school is he.
Let me know the scores and who scored in the games so far this season.
This should be a great game for quarterfinals.

Yes, but you would also think AL would of put thier "best foot forward" in the Mayo game considering the Big 9 championship was at stake..

West had already won the big 9 championship. At best AL could of tied if they beat Mayo and West lost to Century.

Hard to put your best foot forward without one of your best players.

No Excuses, Mayo came to play that night and AL did not. Mayo took the game to them in all phases. I think it was a very good game for both teams. Mayo needed a good win and they got it. I don't usually believe in good losses, however, this loss was an eye opener for AL. It reminded them that if they don't come to play they will get run by a team they can and should beat.
I don't think that AL team we saw against Mayo will be seen again this year.
Good luck to all teams in Sectons.

mankato west= wins the section they are just to good. ha ha good one they have one way they can score fast breaks and just looking for a back door goal on the power play. A team can shut those down and West has nothing from what i have seen of them. Thanks for the info on Northfield though.
