One game does not equal the whole season. Win when it matters most. But Please do not invite winningisnot4everyone back.

The target is on Albert Lea. Let the shooting begin.

KH are you one of the captains, or do you enjoy lecturing your teammates.

poop stain, tigertime, christmaseve, albert lea owns, taking names,................. grow up!!!!! you guys remind me of preschool.

We own this section. it is simple math. We pounded Austin in the scrimmage, we beat northfield and they beat faribault. this section is ours for the taking. faribault you have no chance. Beat by northfield

IMHO, Austin showed AL nothing in the scrimmage (they held back).
Look at their first 3 games scores.
AL should be watching out for their next game...

How does owning the section have anything to do with math? It could be logical based on previous games but no way is it mathmatical...

If mathmatics are involved you might want to whip out your fingers and look at TJ's stats again before you tell me that you have this section wrapped up.

Any team can lose on any given night.

The soviets had the same attitude in 1980. OOP's Albert will be good if the lazy ones give 100% all the time and a couple of the "stars" learn how to play as a team. Passing and defense would be a good start!!!! The question of who will win the section is simple, the team with the most goals in the section final game!!

All those previous AL posts are very interesting. I believe it is an indication of their true attitudes. They truly believe they are in a league of their own. They are good and the team expected to win the section.

Tonight's predictions

MW 6
AL 4

Mayo 7
Faribault 2 ( we are in the developmental stage)

Faribault must really be going downhill, and the season is just starting.

First it was always "Faribault is the greatest".
Then it became merely "Faribault is great".
Next it became a forecast "Faribault will soon be great".
And now, "Faribault...we are in the developmental stage"?

Huge decline in expectations, in just a couple of months!

West rolled AL last year in Mankato, it was ugly for the AL girls  . I give an edge to West, but I think AL will give them a battle and come out on top in a close game. I'm an optomist, what can I say? This game will tell me a little more about AL though.
AL 4
West 3

I think Century has a very strong goalie and yet Mayo put up 8 on her last week  . This one could get ugly, sorry but Mayo has a lot of fire power, solid D, good goaltending and Faribo is only in a "development stage" :? . This won't be a good "development" game for Faribo. Sorry.
Mayo 10
Faribo 1

Northfield will handle Waseca with ease tonight.
NFLD 7
Waseca 0

Minnehaha Academy at Red Wing :?: :?:
Anybody have any idea about that one?

Hey, I get to watch falcon's team tonight. They play Mayo right before the JM/L vs Century game. Good luck to all. What numbers should I be watching?

I see that the Austin 7th grader (KT), that played for Rochester's 12UA team last year, came up with a pair of goals this weekend. I watched a replay on the web and I was impressed with the move and the shot. Nice Job KT!

She's a little scoring machine all right. Made Waseca look funny. Wait... Waseca? No way she scored on Waseca! They're one of the best! Did TJ even get to play that game?

AL and West game could be a good one. Maybe you should leave early Falcons, and catch this one. Do you really want to watch your team be destroyed?

A real barn burner tonite.
AL had the game in the bag but West tied the score with a slap shot from the point with 16 seconds left...so OT.......

AL #5 put the game on ice in the OT
AL 6
West 5
Congratulations to AL on a really hard fought game.
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D
Not sure of AL's shots but West reportedly had 41 on goal...

Not sure where to put this post--this is as good a place as any. I'm wondering about the Rose Alleva situation. The only roster I've seen for Red Wing shows 10 skaters--one senior, Alleva (soph), and then the rest are freshmen and 7th and 8th graders. I'm pretty sure Red Wing doesn't have a U14 team, and even the U12 is short players. In other words, there's no help on the way. I'd think in her place moving on might be the only option....like the T'Breds? I can't believe playing D on a team like this and being the 'everything' is good for her development as a player. Is there any guarantee there will even be a varsity program in the future at Red Wing? Is there any talk of co-oping? This doesn't resemble the Laura May situation where she chose to stay with her friends to play for a smaller school. Mahtomedi had a full roster and was very competetive and has a 'vibrant' youth program--this year they have a U14A team. Any thoughts from anyone familiar with the situation?
