yeh - that's how it was - the story of bad goaltending...if Willmar would have put up more shots in the third, it could have been really interesting...agree on the big show; can't go with this kind of goaltending...defense wasn't much to speak of either...maturity is an issue for Marshall

it is true both goalies didn't do so hot, shots were only like 28-23 or something..
But if marshall can play like this, and their goalie picks it up in the next game and plays solid they can make some noise at gustavus

Marshall vs NU has a potential to be an amazing game depending on which team each of them decides to be on saturday.

litch beat windom 5-2 the shots weren't even close i guess like 55-15 maybe? litch took it too them game wasn't even close they look like they could make some noise in the semis or in this section perhaps

shots 54-15, litch had a let down in the second other than that, they were buzz'n..........

n.u. dominated every period,there crowd was rough.first line did most of the work.marshal got frustrated in the third.gave up 3 goals.end in 7-3 victory.nu tops marshall!

The NU v. Marshall game was a very entertaining game. When the score was 3-2 both crowds were getting into it, and it was a good competition, but once Marshall got frustrated it all went down hill. The Eagles were the better team tonight, with my boy Kohn shooting two goals, one of which was a laser I might add. It should be a great game.

You're closer to that trip to St. Paul. I'm betting New Ulm gets there.

LDC Vs. NU

in the 3rd period one of marshall's players. Number 3 hooked new ulm's forward in the neck and pulled him down. New Ulm did score on the penalty shot but that is not an equal reward for an act that should have suffered more consequences. Hooking someone by the neck then deliberatly pulling him down and hurting the kid is very inapropriate for a high school level game.

Ethan should not be allowed to ref another high school game. NU did play better and deserved it but 10-4 in penalties and putting Marshall shorthanded 4 times in the first period is a good way to make their top players tired. Very entertaining game for a little over 2 periods but the penalties hurt Marshall and NU capitalized. Marshall had a great chance to tie it at 3 late in the 2nd but the NU goalie came up big. Should be a great final but I think Litch is gonna take it.

I don't think calling that many penalties in one period is smart but i just think the refs were trying to take control of the game before it got "out of hand." you can't commit a penalty and not have consequences...
