End of the year tourney's can be very interesting. Hot goalies can be the biggest difference maker's. AL know's about coming through the loser's bracket to get to region's after running into a hot tender last year.....Bruggeman. He stopped 42 shot's and probably could have faced 60 and still had a goose egg. Nobody from AL will think the loser's bracket is a cakewalk but hopefully they won't see that side. Hockeyequalslife, do you know something I don't about AL or NU? What are the deciding point's about your NU victory that hasn't shown up in 2 games already?

Great point on that hot tender jdog. Run into one of those and it doesn't matter how many shots, it completely takes the team out of the game.

Edited by: <A HREF=

Nickel, I agree with you on some of the points. Do not say your kid is an A player when he is not. When you look at the whole situation you really need to develop 10-12 A players per year to feed both High Schools. No need for 20 - 30 so called "A" players because with the numbers that are tryinng out ther is no way that will happen. I guess the whole point I am tyring to make is that you should place the kids at a level they can compete at night in and night out

I will add my .04. Squirts, pw's, bantam's are all different. 10 or 12 A player's at bantam's for 2 school's is really 5 or 6. I don't know if you can count on much success at the HS level. At the PW level, 5 or 6 A player's would turn into a big problem. Attrition will take it's toll. You could look at an up and coming program as having growing pain's every now and then for the better of the whole program. If the result's are the same after 3 or 4 year's, it doesn't work.

Rumor has it that the Owatonna player received a 5 game suspension. Can anyone confirm this. If that is true, the suspension will probably carry over into Districts unless they had 5 games previously scheduled.

hockeyequalslife is either from...

A. New Ulm and wants to see his team win. Which is fine, you have to first believe you can win before you can win.
B. Austin and hates AL. You gotta love those rivalries.

Five games would be in line with USA Hockey.

They have skated short all year, and have performed well with that. Hopefully, they can stay injury free during that time.

I hate to see that happen to a team right before Districts. I know they will compete however. They have a pretty good team there

Yeah a 5 game suspension in such a serious time will hurt any team, but these guys already have a short bench.

Skating 9 is alot different than skating 10

Skating 9

However, it has been my experience that if you bring 9 true A skaters, that is better than skating 16 with 9 A's, 5 B's and even a C or two!!

Then in regions, the teams that will come out of regions will be Faribault for peeweeA and Buffalo or New Prague for bantamA.

It's hard to beat a team 3 times. We'll have to see if AL can pull off the 3rd win.

Edited by: <A HREF=
