I think it was excellent goaltending. She wasn't trying to use much movement.

They are winning, so I think they will be fine. Top two scorers are freshmen. Goalie for HM is playing super well.Nostalgic Nerd wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 7:30 pm HM is going to need some additional offense from somewhere.![]()
Dirty goals. Which actually isn't an HM specialty as these girls like pretty plays. It isn't the goals tonight. Its the goaltending and defense clearing second chances. That's been the difference. I said it last night. Centennial had it all go there way. So far tonight, that hasn't repeated.Nostalgic Nerd wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 8:06 pm Both HM goals were that low high I'll call it. Must be a Pohl speciality.
Liked the second goal where she skated around the back and laid it there for her teammate untouched lol.Sparlimb wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 8:17 pmDirty goals. More so, #18 wasn’t even an all-tournament player! Guessing her hope for Ms Hockey also ended too.Nostalgic Nerd wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 8:51 pm Hahaha #18 was being a bad ass earlier so #14 decided to lay her out in the boards.
You were right, and nailed it. The Co-op got sloppy on D and didn’t catch a break until the goalie was pulled. BTW, how in the heck did the Co-op goalie get all-tournament? 11 goals given up? Seriously?Sparlimb wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 8:17 pmDirty goals. Which actually isn't an HM specialty as these girls like pretty plays. It isn't the goals tonight. Reminds me of the old days when all tournaments were picked before the finals. A goalie might give up five goals in the finals and still make it LOL.Lace'emUp wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 10:29 pmYou were right, and nailed it. They did, but the burning question for the 2026-2027 season is which of the Goblirsch twins will transfer to the co-op?Nostalgic Nerd wrote: ↑Sun Feb 22, 2026 7:05 amReminds me of the old days when all tournaments were picked before the finals. Was glad Farmington showed their worth and took consolation.

Yes, Bemidji was very young this year too and a great team. Farmington will be good again, Edina and Centennial are always good. I sure hope Bemidji does another hockey weekend and Hill gets to go up and play them again. That was fun to watch...
From what I was told it will happen again, but not sure which teams.
Unless something weird happens, the only game(s) Hill might lose is when couple/few players are at the U18 worlds. The Co-op loses over 150 points to graduation and two starting D. They still have a lot of fire power, but Maple Grove (also 5AA) is returning all their top players and goalie (11 seniors next year). They will be the Co-op’s roadblock, if there is one. Beyond that, I also can see Farmington back, same with Bemidji, Edina, and Tonka overtaking 2AA again. I don’t know enough about who will rise up in 3AA and 7AA.
