Never been happier to be wrong! A clinical defensive effort from the Hornets, bolstered by a few key saves from Clarkowski. Fun stuff.

Halfway thru the season I talked about Edina’s SOS and specifically their SOS in the 2nd half of the season and how much I liked them. Edina was good then. I watched them play Hill really really well in their annual back-to-back. Edina looked great. Fast forward and I would not want to play Edina at State. And they may end up unseeded, which should terrify the unlucky seeded team who plays them on Thursday

First time seeing Prior Lake or Chaska this year and it was a very entertaining game. Alex Bump is a special player for sure and their top end talent overtook the depth of Chaska. Congrats to the Lakers for their first ever state tourney appearance.
I, however, am not looking forward to the rush of Prior Lake students that will be posting over the next week telling us how they deserve the #1 seed and probably will win every game in running time.
I think teams with a disciplined defense will do well against PL, but they do have the talent to beat any single team.

Great win for the Wildcats who will now most likely see their season come to end vs Mahtomedi on Friday. Great win for them if they were still in 5A this would have been a State Tournament Team.

I hope you are right but historically coaches vote the way of the LPH Poll.
Right now the FInal Poll has it #4 in state Mahtomedi followed by #5 MPLS
We shall see I think MPLS deserves the 3 seed but again just going off history when it comes to Class A .

On a more positive note, Minneapolis will be a nice fresh entry into state even though the stories about their underdog status will be much exaggerated. I am guessing they will face the winner of 6A in what should be an excellent quarterfinal.

I agree Prior Lake is going to be a tough out. Alex Bump has really taken off in the last month or so. Since Prior Lake's loss to Lakeville South mid-January, Bump has been on the score sheet every game. Multiple points in 11 of last 13 games, which includes playoffs.
