Last time STA was in a championship game, they sandbagged the single A tourney to a title.

Looks like that can't happen again since they have to play the big boys now
Do you mean like Stillwater?

And there's your DAGGER...7-2 EGF

Time for Hermantown to man up and play AA in 2015-2016.

Is there a homer ref in there?
My brother just texted me the same thing. Some of the calls seem a little touchy... Hopefully it balances out.
The officials drew the most attention next to EGF .

7-2 with 5 mins to play. EGF on power play now.just got a PP goal.

Definitely a difference between AA and A. These teams are very competitive, but would not be playing for a state championship at the AA level.

REally,

Who decided on that ref.
He screwed up the game for both teams.
Don't ever let him back.

Sooooooo, what do you think Hermantown's coach will say after this loss now that there won't be any "recruiting" issues. EGF is head and shoulders more talented than Hermantown, so I hope he gives them all the credit.

Is it true that no one on this EGF team has committed anywhere? Even a skilled big man like Eades? Impressive team, very fun to watch.

I have 100 times more respect for STA playing AA and losing to Eagan...than salting away another meaningless Single A title (at least for them).

CONGRATS to EGF...a legitimate Class A school

Not really trolling, just commenting on the city of Hermantown. I did the same for EGF. All is even.

My belief, he'll be very gracious and congratulate the Green Wave.

Don't knock the whole community of Hermantown because of sour grapes comments by their coach

egf had a history of self-destructing via lack of discipline. You could literally count on it.

It's one of the main reasons they brought Oliver in, to correct it.

Actually, he is the least skilled of the d-men. Skating is a big problem with him.

But he's big, and as is usual the case, in some eyes, that makes up for it.

His name doesn't hurt either of course

I actually do feel a little bad for Hermantown. There isn't much worse than getting the "loser's medal" after a tough loss. Felt the same way after the section final football game, sitting on the turf and feeling like you gave a game away after working so hard to get there. I can imagine it's 100x worse for a state final.

Classy move by Oliver...gave his medal to 3rd string, senior goalie.
