I am really looking forward to one more HM-WBL section final at the Coliseum in 9 days. See you there.
I'd rather see Tartan.
I'd rather see Irondale Vs. NSP in the finals
That'd be fine for me. I was at the game cheering for the Polars the last time they went to state. Took down White Bear Mariner that night...

Is it too late to get St. Paul Como Park back?

Gosh I think I must be getting soft, playing nice with a Bears fan. Gross.

Well let's see if I can ratchet it up a little:

WBL is so bad when they get to State they only book their hotel for Thursday.

WBL is so bad that the city counsel proposed changing their nickname to the Cubs.

WBL is so bad that their players think "going to State" means someone is picking between Mankato State and St. Cloud State.

WBL is so bad that even the lake itself is trying to leave town

Okay that's all I got. Goodnight folks!

All in fun now....

HM - WBL

Catholic schools are creepy, and we all know it.

That regular season december game REALLY avenged the SECTION FINAL loss...

Are you REALLY going to hang your hat on 1 win in 19 games over 9 years?

As an HM fan, I'm not worried about WBL. Those two teams (HM & WBL) already played their close game for the year. WBL has their best team in years, but I'm not convinced they'll even make it to the section finals. I'm more worried about Burnsville and Blaine at state...

Hill isnt even all that great this year.
Sparlimb, I would be worried about getting bounced by Roseville in the 4AA semis before looking at state opponents.

Roseville 4 HM 3, due to Slattery being lazy as usual, and the rest of the team sleepwalking.

Nope. Maybe if they had Joey A. But he came to the dark side, and that means lights out for Roseville if the two teams meet up in sections. I'm no so sure Roseville will get by Moundsview

I haven't seen that bad of a choke since Gary Anderson's missed field goal in the 1998 NFC Championship...

How about having a 5 -1 lead over Johnson with 5 minutes left in the 3rd, only to give up 4 goals ( 3 in the final 3 minutes of the period) and then lose it in overtime. I was there, and never have seen anything like it. Priceless

I was there, in the Johnson student section and went nuts (was there with a Johnson guy). And a good buddy of mine who is a former WBL coach was there as well and he had to endure. He's vowed never to come to another WBL hockey game with me again. For as much as WBL dominated that game, I doubt we'll ever see another comeback like that. Ever.

Agree. WBL and HM each have to win 2 games before we can talk much about next Friday. Mounds View, Roseville or Stillwater will not be gimmies on Tuesday.

I was talking more about the Johnson game but yes I agree with you about that, you can't look over anybody in sections or you'll end up watching the finals in the stands instead of playing.

Hill Murray has represented Section 4AA 7 of the past 8 years.

Is this the most lopsided Section in Minnesota ?

Probably. One could argue that 2AA is equally as lopsided, with Edina going to State the last 7 years.

Not to be picky but it's 5. Grand Rapids won 7AA in 2006 & 2007 (finished 2nd at State both times) and Cloquet won 7AA in 2008.
