I know on paper some sections look stornger that others, but look at last year, all 4 top seeded teams in the tourny went down in flames on the first day!

As a White Bear fan, I really could care less about the SEC. Section play is all that matters and at this point, I got the Bears at a #2 seed. After watching the Bears play Duluth East and Edina, I truly believe this team can give Hill a run for their money if they meet in the final. Not saying they will beat the Pioneers, but I will say that WB knows how to play hockey teams more skilled than them.

Big game Thursday between WBL and Cretin. WBL needs this one to have much hope of winning the conf. It appears like WBL needs to win out, and Cretin needs at least a loss and a tie for WBL to pass them. Moundsview is still in the mix also.

Moundsview is definitely still in the mix. They’ve split with both CDH and WBL, and based on their remaining schedule they’ll probably win their final 3 conference games. CDH definitely has the advantage with a 3 pioint lead, but if they lose to WBL on Thursday it gets real tight between these three teams.

I don’t see much separation between MV and WBL (each beat the other by one goal), it’ll be a dog fight between these two for the #2 seed in 4AA.

It will be interesting to see where Tartan falls, even though they play a weaker overall schedule, they may still end up with a 21-4 season. That should be enough for at least the #3 seed.

You're right, if Tartan beats STA or Duluth East to get to 21 wins, I see them getting the 2 or 3 seed. I just don't think they'll get a W against either team.

If MV and WBL finish strong, they should be 2 & 3. It'll be interesting to see where the coaches end up seeding Tartan... 20 wins is impressive, but that schedule is awful weak. Just don't see the SEC coaches voting them ahead of MV or WBL. We'll see...

Biggest game in a few years for CDH tonight vs White Bear Lake.
Winner will likely finish as the SEC champion. The Bears took game 1
5-4 in a high scoring affair and are coming off a 10-2 shallacking of Park. Cretin is coming off an exhausting 4-3 OT loss at Edina where they frankly ran out of gas in the 3rd. Should be a great hockey game.!

Can anyone help with the correct game time for the WBL game, 7 or 7:30? I see it is at Cretin but have seen conflicting times. This seems like a good game to catch while I'm in town.

CDH 5 en ---Wahlin 3.

Solid competitive effort Was expecting the bears to roll to the box but they played a very composed, up tempo game. JW did what JW does but Cretin kept plugging away. Good luck in section 4AA Bears. Rep the SEC well

What is going on with MV I thought they where the preseason favorites for the conference title. A loss to Park!

WOW!!! Is that right? How can a team fall apart so badly! I said they were going down hill but I didn't see this coming. I believe they have a older team with like 10 seniors. Has anyone watched their games? How is their play? Are they just giving up?

I saw the game against East Ridge and MV was down 3-1 early in the first coming back to make it 3-2 at the end of one. Things got really scrappy from both teams but ER somehow managed to really make the MV goalie shaky. MV was quick but they just couldn't bury the puck. Losing to Park, however, is reason to hang your head in shame. The only worse thing could be a loss to Woodbury this season.

Kudos to the Roseville goalie in the Roseville 2-1 win over CDH saturday. Kid was outstanding in net and hot goalies can carry a team..the next couple weeks are definately going to offer up some great hockey.

Kinda disappointing when your conference champ loses in the 1st round.

Two years in a row, no less

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't WBL win the SEC last year and lose in the opening round of sections to St. Paul Johnson 6-5? Maybe I'm getting my years mixed up...

You are correct.
