Seriously? You want to fire a guy because of that interview? Please. That was completely harmless. I suspect he didn't say anything different to his team, nor should he.

There might be another reason you want him fired (did he cut someone close to you?) but neither the team's performance nor the coach's press conference warrant anything of the sort.

Didn't see what was so offensive there if you think those kids up north have never heard a cuss word you must live in a bubble, pretty courageous to say he needs to resign when more than likely he is stepping down with his daughter moving on.he has a boys team that has some holes to fill.

While I am not a great fan of Coach Marvin,I watched the news conference video and saw absolutely nothing wrong. He gave Blake all the credit in the world.

Guess the one thought I have is preparation? Maybe it was the play of Blake, but I didn't see the fight in Warroad. Their body language, and they seemed suprised and unresponsive to the challenge. It felt different than RW's loss to Blake, which had fight, but maybe I'm wrong?

I just got a chance to hear the interview and not knowing or seeing the staff before...I have a new found respect for the "matter of fact" breakdown of his team and his opponent. He handled the probing media with confidence and his degree of self/team deprication displayed a confidence seldom witnessed in the coaching ranks. I suspect this is what offended you ....sometimes good teams get outplayed and the closest to the situation are the only one that can put it in prospective.

I agree and as I posted above I found nothing offensive in his post-game interview. In fact I found his assessment to be "refreshingly honest". He did not mince words, and he's obviously a very competitive guy, which is one trait that all successful coaches have in common.

To me it seemed like he hadn't quite yet figured out why his team did not respond well to the adversity they faced in this game. He did acknowledge at one point in the interview that his team was not playing their best in the weeks leading up to the tournament, but you cannot fault him on this as most teams go through periods where they are not playing up to the level they are capable of playing. Unfortunately for Warroad that period came at the worst possible time, as they were the overwhelming favorite to win it this year. The coach was obviously well aware of this, and IMO did his best to explain why it didn't go his team's way.
