Well, I had them at #12 for this week because I wasn't impressed with them lately.

Then they beat Wayzata, so I was ready to put them up in the top 8 or so.

Now this. I guess there's a good reason I only do this once a week.

The bigger question will be what to do with Centennial, who had a decidedly mediocre start to the season but now looks like an elite team.

After 2 periods, Blake and Mahtomedi are tied at 1-all.

Ben Marshall rushing the puck very effectively (no surprise). He comes up the rink with so much speed, fakes a slap shot and gets the defenseman to stop moving his feet, then cruises right past him. Seems to work every time.

Centennial - 7
BSM - 2
Final

First period was fairly even. Shots were 6 for BSM and 5 for Centennial. Last two periods were totally dominated by Centennial. It looks like Centennial has figured a few things out and is getting better. They will get another shot at Jefferson who pounded them early in the season. I think Jefferson will find this is a different team than the one they played earlier in the month. Hopefully it will be a great game!

This is a shocker:
Eagan 7
Hopkins 1
Yet another easy win for the Wildcats. Both varsity and jv won their tournaments with no close games. Another good game for the sophs as M Zajac and N Kuchera each had 2 goals. I can't wait until this team plays what most on this forum are calling another real game so Eagan prove their worth once again. I believe EP is coming up in a couple weeks. Should be fun!!

Eagan was my team to watch in Section 3AA. I remember them and Woodbury going at it for 7 OT periods when this team's core group was in Bantams. Conference title in the Future??

Htown goals: Paczynski, Thomas 2, Krause, Christopherson, and Hady...I think.

Shots 20-17 Htown
Wow.... 6 goals on 20 shots off a D1 goalie recruit???? Looks like Hermantown should be able to play with anyone in Class A.
