If you are referring to Brock Nelson, then I suggest you look away from the program and take a look at him away from his equipment. If it says that on the program then it is purely a stat for scouts to take a gander at, in all seriousness however he will need a get a little bigger to make those next steps. Not saying he is not physical by any means, just saying to take his game to the highest level it is something inevitable for the young man.

The kid is 18 years old, i'd say it's inevitable that he'll put on some weight in the next few years. Alright take it easy buddy, all I stated is that he is tall and skinny right now. He truly is the real deal and has what it takes to be the next Warroad NHL prospect once he fills out his frame a bit. Max Gardiner didn't help his cause on TV the other night. I don't think Gardiner played poorly. Well according the to Fall Players to Watch list he is an A prospect, I believe the list was posted earlier this fall on here. I was merely saying Nelson is next in line to be a Warroad HS draft pick, preceded by TJ Oshie in the first round in 2005, and Aaron Marvin in the third round in 2006. I don't know what game you were watching but he was the best forward on the ice. Played well in both ends. Definetly a strong favorite along with Bugstad and Nelson.

The coach tells him to play that way. So should he not listen? They want to get him as much ice time as possible, his job is to strictly score goals and then the defense relies on his brother to do the other part. Maybe you like it maybe you dont but thats what it is. It would have been nice to see him play in the elite league which he turned down but saw him play alot for the owls and he does play both ways there. So its not like he just says screw defense. And obviously the strategy is working looking at their record last year and their start this year. Kyle Lutzka from Duluth East, with the puck can make players and goalies alike look silly, without it, he is always working hard to find the open areas for easier opportunities to put the puck in the net.

Given he is eligible for it, Bjugstad is going to be tough to beat. He is the top rated pro prospect in the state for the next draft and he has been producing nicely for a top 10 AA team... usually a favorable combo for this award.

I guess it depends on what scouting service you want to use. The latest Int'l Scouting Services top 30 has Bjugstad at #15 and the next MN HS player is Nelson at #28. I like Woodlief at Red Line Report as he tends to be entertaining but he also does tend to go outside of the box a little more with his rankings than most do. Max Gardiner played very well against Blaine. The freshman would not have had any of the chances with out Max doing the majority of the work.
I thought Bjugstad looked good for how much ice he logged in a tough game.

Gardiner appears to have shown he can accept a great leadership role in bringing along a freshman in Max Coates in the way he has the past couple games. He is proving to put the team success ahead of his own notoriety on being a playmaker, as well as a goal scorer.
This type of team/individual play will have a greater impaact on the voters, in my opinion.

Gaede's hard and clean hitting is fun to watch. He seems frustrated this year but he did pick staying with his high school instead of playing higher level hockey.
Bjukstad has such a talented shot. He is also a great one to watch. Both Gaede and Bjugstad are really nice guys. That also needs to be a qualifier for Mr. Hockey - who ever is Mr. Hockey has to be a role model for younger players.
Knochenmus is such a hard worker and has talent to match. When he is paired up with the right player he is unstopable.
The Minnetonka boys are so lucky the have each other on the ice they seem unbeatable and can't really go wrong with that much support.
There are all these single players that don't really shine unless they are playing elite. most every eligible kid is a really good kid. I think it's going to be a very hard call this year.
