D16 has a wise and benevolent leader. Would there be eleven more [of you to serve in the capacity of District representatives?]
I agree. Mark Elliott, you continue to be my hero. Can you clone yourself?

After all of this, I have to ask if:
1) Has this all been confirmed, or could there be someone just spreading rumors?
2) If it is fact, who verified the numbers? (Have the "game-count" standards been verified and are they used for all squirt programs in the state?)
3) Again, if it's fact, if there are any penalties handed down, has every squirt program been audited in D10 and other districts?
4) Has anyone asked why? Why did this program get busted, why did this level get busted, and why hasn't anyone asked why?
After doing some soul-searching since my posts, I had to ask why. I don't know if there is any animosity going around, but could there be some bad blood locally and in the district after the failed Tech Youth Hockey fiasco? Does someone in the district have a bone to pick and found a way to make a statement?
I hope that there is nothing going on under the table, but I can't help but smell some fish. I do stand by my statement that there is no excuse to play too many games. However, I wonder if they did play too many games.

Me thinks Blue and Gold might be looking for a scapegoat for the little mess SCYHA finds itself. What does it matter who reported it? (another association in this case). The point is they screwed up. Are you trying to defend friends on the board?
It's amusing that the southside group has been blamed for everything that goes wrong in SCYHA and the whole southside tempest ended a year ago. Last year, lack of recruiting was blamed on the southside "distraction." Their website shows there still isn't anyone heading recruiting. Now these recent woes are being blamed on something that happened a year ago?
Here's the bottom line. Man up and take responsibility when you screw up. Quit the finger pointing and the blame game.

Well western and gunit, it appears that a nerve has been touched. I simply asked a few questions after realizing that I hit this kind of hard without asking these questions first. I stand behind them, especially the one about auditing more teams. If these teams did in fact break the rules, then they should pay the price. If they are being made to pay the price when teams in the same boat aren't just because someone has the power to make this happen, then it's wrong. If that's not the case and this is an isolated incident, then by all means flex your muscle.
Western, I don't care if you did or did not have success with your Tech group. That is water under the bridge. I mean, let's face it: many times things aren't as they appear, you all know that. (reference your loss of the high school coach. That is a travesty and I hope that this isn't on the same vain..)
If it's wrong to ask questions and get more detail before condemning these types of things, then we are really in a mess. Oh, and gunit, I find that reading blogs is about as enlightening as assuming that everything on the internet is true. I have yet to find a blog that tells all the truth.
I'm not looking for a way to pass insults back and forth as I happen to like and respect all the parties involved, I just want to know more, therefore I asked a few questions.

Blue & Gold - no nerve on my part you asked questions, and I responded
with what I knew. Blogs are blogs when a team post them its up
to them to post the correct information.
As for getting caught that can be any of us in anything in life at some
time for one thing or anyother, there proble more teams at all levels
that broke rules in MN hockey they just didn't get caught, SC just got reported on.

You are correct gunit. Life isn't fair. Time to move on to something more important than this.

No.
The more of us with diverse opinions that go to meetings, that voice our opinion, and take a stance on things that are important for our kids, the better everyone will be.
I consider my desire to listen to others as my strong point, but if there are no others speaking up.....
