Durig the Apollo\Little Falss game, I didn't see Hano out on the ice any more in the last ten minutes then any other time in the game. Looked to me like they were just rolling the lines out as usual. I don't think he was on the ice at all during the last two minutes in a 10-4 win.

I think it comes down to Ben being a great leader, and Ben himself that doesn't want to quit and not give up. Couture is one of the best out there in this state, he will just not run up the score. If you want to say he is, than why isnt Ben getting all the goals? No he isnt, its an all around team effort now, and like stated before, the 2nd and 3rd line cant play the last part of the game. Its a team sport, just because they are doing great doesn't mean they should be hounded by it. Just let the kids play and have fun while their doing it. I bet you ask any player that has played with him at any camp or other thing at that point would say he is a great kid, and a great friend even if your playing against him. If any has seen him play you have seen him at all the games go up to many of the players of the opposing team and chat/talk with them after the game, and I am sure its all good talk and good sayings going both ways.

Gopher, you should be proud of both Ben's and the Flyers accomplishments. If I was a LF Homer, I would be too. That's part of being a fan. I agree that Hano is a good sport, great player, friend, competitor, etc. It's been fun to watch him over the last 4 years and I look forward to watching him play in the WCHA. I would like to be in the stands to recognize his accomplishment when he breaks the record.

Having said all that, at 10 - 2 roll the 2nd and 3rd lines and play the manager if you have to. Also, why would Sperl play the whole game when no shutout is on the line vs Apollo and Tech?

ok here is the deal. for those of you who want to complain about hanowski being on the ice with a 10-2 lead i got some words for you. First of all just because he is 10 times better than anyone on your team you think he should be punished and have to sit on the bench because you guys whine and cry about it? Unreal, second he just proves how good he is when its late in the game and he is just out on the ice enjoying himself, and he still lights you up. The kid is a leader and isnt out there to embarrass anyone, because believe me if he wanted to last night with a 10-2 lead i would be quite sure he could have run the score up more. Alright enough of that but from what i head alex played a very solid game last night winning 5-0 over sauk, and obviously small falls dominating, looks like the sections are shaping up to be a doozy....

The 2nd and 3rd line were played most of the night, and well I second play the back up G, because from what I have seen he will need all the time in the crease.

Who cares if he was on the ice.... Penalty kill or not...... It's not his or the coaches job to keep the game close. It would be different if the Flyers were playing a Charter school or something related to that. But they weren't. They were playing Tech, a large school with pretty good hockey. If you can't take a good beating once in a while then I suggest not playing sports and take up something where everyone wins!

Agreed...not Little Falls job to keep it close!!!

My perspective is this...it's not classless for Hano to take the ice on the PK with 2 minutes left in the game...but it would look VERY bad if he blew his knee in the last 2 minutes of a 10-2 game.

Dirtkiller:

You're an idiot. First you laugh that two Tech players get carried off the ice? That's funny? What a moron.

Second, it was one kid that left because of an injury it was a sprained MCL. Your comment implied it was because of some big bad LF hit. It wasn't.

I like the LF team and coach and hope they win state (though STA and others will present a huge hill), but there are always fools among even the best fans, and you fit the profile.

After losing to Roseau 6-0 we tied them 3-3 with one of our best players out (Maetche). If Hanowski wants to prove himself it is tonight because we are going to be going afer him with our BIG DEFENSE and if he gets taken out of the game LF has no chance. Assuming Techs goaltending does fine and nobody else gets hurt i will say
TECH 5
LF 4

^^^ when a comment like that is made its going to get retaliated....and your assumptions on my implications where horribly wrong nice try though

Nice try on what?

Maybe you're the one reading something into the kid's post -- taken out of the game where I come from means he is defended against to the point that he is not a major force -- not that he is hurt.

Was the kid doing some ill-advised trash talking? Maybe. If you claim laughing at injured kids was not your intent, I was wrong.

If hano wants to play when up 10-2 go for it. Its not little falls job to keep it close. THat would be techs. They failed bigtime.

StCloudTech- Would you consider bens 6 assists proving himself? Not only did tech make a fool of themselves on the ice, but apparently on this forum too.

They better come out a little stronger against moorehead or that game could get very ugly as well.

Hommerding's got to be real excited to read this.

If I were Hommerding, I would call it a day after this season, with all those parents hounding him. It's not like they are senior parents...

From the talk I heard sounded like thats what was happening. Itsto bad they caused that whole mess in the middle of the season.

I'm hoping Hommerding stays. Letting parents complain to the point of getting rid of a coach sets a bad precedent everywhere, especially at the school in which it happens. Next thing you know, every coach at Tech will be up for the boot if parents complain.
