There are also 2 kids that got automatics at defense that played forward all year.
The system isn't flawed though

Maetche split time at F/D last year. Who's the other one?

And if players were of equal talent, you THINK they would take the upper classman??? The underclassman have a few years still to get the exposure. They need to fix this league if they are calling it the "Elite" league.

Why does the "North" team have a kid from Rochester and a kid from Lakeville South on it? Did those two cities move since I took MN geography as a kid? Wow. I like the idea of the "leftovers" team to take on Russo's Elite crew. You have kids that were close to 40 or 50 points left off for 4 point scorers? Wow.

Interesting to see a kid that got banned from MN Hockey being 'chosen'
thus 'honored' in this elite league. He was banned for aggressively punching a ref in Bantam A playoffs. Maybe the refs who will be officiating these games should be pre-warned of this offender?

There were no players from White Bear even invited to the tryout besides Collette. Unfortunately, he had another tryout that weekend and his spot was taken.
I've heard that Sager does not promote his players for Elite I because he does not want to see them develope outside of White Bear. Many of the players I've talked to said he's extremely against players talking to junior teams, and if a junior/select team calls him, he often talks them down or doesn't talk his players up at all. Maybe WBMD is right, White Bear needs a new coach?

hmmm...your right. That kid was suspended from any USA Hockey activity for one year. He also made an advanced 16 team last year.
Kudos to the Elite League, MN Hockey and USA Hockey for teaching kids like that a lesson

I did not notice Tyler Lapic on any of the rosters, unless I missed his name? What is he doing this fall?

Interesting to know, however I wouldn't get too wrapped up in stats of Model camp. I believe a mixed bag of talent can be found on those teams.

I am guessing it is because of his injury situation.

Thanks Gopher Blog, last I seen him was at the Advanced 17 in Plymouth. Will he be ready to start the high school season?

Do you really have to call-out each of these kids?
I am sure these kids worked haerd just like every other kid trying out, they were just the ones to get picked!
Sounds like you are a parent that had there kid cut...

no infact i don't. but i watch alot of hockey and i know whose good and whose not and i just have to wonder y don't the evaluators pick the best kids and not just the ones that people know about because i've watched all of the kids that i've named play and i could think of someone else that could have taken thier spot instead that i know work hard and deserve to be thier not saying that those kids won't do bad in the EL but i know kids that work very hard and should have the same oppertunity to play in it. i know kids that didn't get invites to the EL that in my opinion are better that some of the kids that made it.

It is not appropriate, or necessary, for you to publicly call out kids while you remain anonymous. You crossed the line in my opinion. Figure out how to make you point another way.
