Was it because St Cloud is in?

I was only able to see watch the 3rd period, but, was amazed at the lack of intensity (especially in a close game against the Gophers) by St Cloud. Even so they did tie the game. The penalty, nulified the little spark of momentum that was starting. Last night, St Cloud looked like the tired :? team.

Gophers should be in the NCAA Tournament, unless there are upset winners by lower ranked teams in other tournaments.

Are you serious? If the season ended today they'd be in and they are only two wins away from getting an automatic bid...
Automatic bid? Is there such a thing?

They are in for sure now.

Yes, winning the conference is an automatic bid

Good Call

Gophers were in the NCAA before last nights game :?
Even a loss to a higher ranked Pairwise team like SCSU, would have counted as a "Good" loss, giving them more Pairwise cred...
Gophers sit at #11, NCAA takes 16, and there are two auto bids already in, Air Force & Niagara, that leaves 14 conference auto bids and at-large bids left. There is no way that 4 more lower level (lower than #11 - meaning #12, #13...) Pariwise teams take away three spots, just no way at this point. (CCHA, ECAC, Hockey East & WCHA are left)
Gophers are in... 8)

At this point you have to be higher than #13 in the pairwise to make it in. Once Clarkson got upset in the ECAC, it meant another team lower than #14 was going to make the field of 16.

I just couldn't stay sitting when my boy from Rolling Ridge Estates put home the game winner against his home town Huskies...one of the few times I've ever cheered for the Gophers in a game against SCSU.

Admittedly, the (stupid) Husky fans had me cheering Gophers all night.

I think SCSU showed up thinking they would win without even trying. As a SCSU fan, I was completely embarrassed at their lack of intensity. Motzko and his team should be ashamed. If they are one and done in the NCAA's, I will be very upset. Hopefully they got the crappy play out of their system.

Go Denver!
