North and South are both extemely inconsistent teams... south has beatin north twice this season and i think beating a team 3 times in one season is gonna be very hard to do. North shows up friday night and takes this game 4-3 over the cougars.
regardless of who ever wins, they are going to get embarassed in state. im glad im not from lakeville, if i was i would probably not be seen in the X wearing a lakeville shirt because there are so many teams in the state that deserve to be in the tourny a million times more than either of these teams, and i feel terrible for these teams and they have every right to hate everyteam from section 1aa

Its funny how people rip section 1AA, Lakeville South included...heres a team that has beat a top 5 team in state, is 11-2-1 in their last 13....were beating Burnsville after 2 periods, and beat themselves by sitting in the box all 3rd....This team can play...
I just hope there is as mjuch an uproar if Cloquet makes the tourney. South has a much better resume than Cloquet
If North Makes the tourney...well...I dont know

Let me see if I've got this right:
The MSHSL aligns the sections basically at their discretion without the input of individual schools.
I should HATE all teams placed in a certain section because they don't measure up to the same level of play as other sections.
If I'm from Lakeville I should be embarassed and not be seen wearing my teams t-shirt at the ex.
What kind of messed up logic is this bs?
Did it ever occur to you etune that most of the kids on these teams, be it Rochester, Lakeville or whoevere else "I have the right to hate", know the current circumstances are very favorable for them. Its not their fault

Don't shoot the messanger, your anger is misdirected. I tend to feel sorry for any team that gets to state and gets humbled. To hate the team instead of the system is flawed logic.

etune, first let me say that your comment was extremely unintelligent. Beginning with your first comment that North will win??? Are you serious? did you see any of the first two games?? South completely dominated both games...its not hard to beat a team 3 times when you are clearly better than them. Second, you say the winner will be embaresed at state? South has played right with the top teams in the state all year(beating burnsville after 2 periods, tied jefferson, took eden prarie to ot, tied eastview, and beat rosemount). Last, hate the teams in 1aa??why? because the MSHL put them there?? Get a clue man and don't come back until you have something intelligent to say...say hi to your gerbal for me

Also I wouldnt say that South is that inconsistent. They played poorly to begin the season but recently they have played very well. North, yes, is inconsistent.
Hawk has gone 2 games in sections without giving up a goal. Will he make it three?

This will be the third time these two rivals from Lakeville have played eachother and the first two games weren't even close. South dominated North both games this season but you never know when the season is on the line. If North can pull of the upset they might have the worst record ever(9-16-3) in the state tournament. What are your predictions?
Mine:
South-4
North-1
It doesn't matter which team wins. Either of them will get killed in the state quarters.

Orty-thanks for the comment buddy, but I think everyone is kind of sick of the stupid comments about how section 1AA will get killed at state.
Although it may happen it could also happen that LS could go in and beat Edina. They play the games because upsets happen. Do you think that Rocehster Century was a better team than Hill-Murray last year? Probably not but they won. Was Burnsville better than AHA? No way but they won.
Let the kids from Lakeville play and go to the greatest hockey tournament in the country, let them bust their butts and for there sake I hope the are playing still on Saturday.

If Yumusaklar (or however you spell his name) stays solid like he has been, who knows..... maybe south gets a couple good breaks and plays some solid D and comes home with an upset in the tourny.

Also throw a bone to Lakeville for splitting their school (unlike other unnamed suburban behemoths). A combined squad would probably be very competitive at state.

Get over It! im guessing your from burnsville cuz all you do is cry about how you deserve to get in the tourney more than anyone else,if you truly deserved to be in the tourney you would have beaten Edina,No one else is to blame for any team not going to state except themselves they controlled their own destiny win and your in,i do realize that they have to play harder teams but thats the way it is,so shut up and get over it

I say that this game is just a tryout and they combine teams to take to state. They would be a pretty good team. They would definately be able to go 3 lines and 3 D sets and they would have one great goalie with two solid backups. Maybe Lakeville should have stayed together for everything?...
But they dont want to be like EP, there better than that and I applaud them for splitting because give them 5 years. North vs South will be a game to see every year.

fluke fluke fluke HM goalie played terrible and Burnsville had nothing left after the historic effort vs G Rapids...Century was a total clown of a team other than a couple forwards they had.
