I know this is a little late with Sections just rapping up, but does anyone have an answer to why do some Sections have the first round games at the higher seeds rink while other Sections have them at neutral sites?
Also, wouldn’t you agree that it would be awful nice for MSHSL to coordinate the schedules of the 8 (or 16) Section final games so as to combine two section championships together? Like the boys have done. Say 3 and 6 plays back to back at BIG, or 4 and 5 play back to back at Aldrich. The way it is now you have one game on Friday and one on Saturday. Or they could be really daring and match 4 with 3 and 5 with 6. I think you would get some big crowds adding to the excitment. Just a thought.

5AA Centennial 3, Coon Rapids 2
and your 4AA pick is what you want for the Stillwater game? (2-0 Stillwater).

Stillwater vs Cretin overall is going to be a 50/50 game.
Cretin knocked out White bear. Not to mention they knocked out Roseville who was second in state and number 1 seeded.
Really it could go either way.

7AA - Grand Rapids/Greenway 4, Duluth Area 1
Congrats to the girls on these teams and Eagan in 3AA for making it to the State Tournament!
Here is the scoring summary for our little contest here. With 23 people entering the fray, and since it's still early, I'll only highlight the early leaders and how they got there at this juncture:
1. DmanDad1980 at 8 points. Has picked the right teams in all four section finals so far, and got the correct scores in both the 8A and 7AA games!
2. GOCARDS1 and hockeyrube7 are tied at 6 points. Both have also picked all four winners correctly, and each got the 8A score correct.
Five people are tied for 4th with 4 points each:
4. gopher25 (correct score in 8A)
4. hockrun (all correct winners)
4. OntheEdge (correct score in 7AA; HOWEVER, has still not posted picks for several upcoming games!)

Yes I now have you down for all games. The only score that you changed was Stillwater-CDH, correct? I now have you down as predicting Stillwater 4-1.
I don't mean to single you out or anything OntheEdge, but I have a request for everybody here: it would be extremely helpful that when you add new scores or want to change a score that you add them by
making a new post. I can't be going back and constantly looking for old edited posts - too time consuming and too great of chance that I'll miss something!

Sorry but I didn't know you were keeping a spreadsheet. I think I changed a couple of scores when I updated my list. Sorry but I wasn't keeping track of which scores. The last post is the updated version. If I make any more changes I will do it with a new post. Don't bother cross-checking. It's not like this is for big bucks or anthing. I'll go with whatever you have.
