Im from the OMG team and i can say that Lakeville is clearly the best team we have played all year. We havent played rave yet but weve played almost all of the other top contenders and the line of wat was it 6,7,8 or 7,8,9 is incredibly hard to stop and also number 7 is incredibly strong i tried hitting him twice in the same shift and he layed me out GG last night guys and good luck today

It was 1-1 we were outshot almost 2-1 but our goalie played on his head and we played an overall good game

Sauce2122 wrote:WBhockey, i know your not trying to rip on lakeville but your theory on lakeville losing is off. Ya 7 and 8 score most of lakevilles goals but look at the game tonight, we played Osseo Maple Grove, not a top contender but still a respectable team. There was 3 goals by our first line, two by our THIRD line, one by our second, and two by the defense. Our third line does have weak players but they can hang in JGB.

Also, you say that when we play a good team we will lose
We've beaten Edina twice, both close but still twice wins. The second win we were down and our number 7 put the entire team on his back and pulled us up to win.
we beat buffalo, minnetonka, OMG, and plenty of other teams that have been ranked or are ranked to prove that

So who are you talking about when you say that we will lose, "when we play a good team"

Everyone keeps talking about #7 and #8 and that Lakeville only has a couple good players. Look at the stats...#9 is pretty darn close in points to those 2 players. In the Osseo Maple Grove game, neither #7 and #8 had a single goal, and #9 had a hat trick. There is not one or two players carrying this team...EVERYONE is contributing to the success of this team.

They lack depth.

i believe that to win the whole deal u need to have depth, u need to have ur 2nd and 3rd line score, because from what i hear lakeville has 1 of the worst 3rd lines and there 2nd line isnt the best either.

Lakeville seems to rely (this is what i hear) almost entirely on there 1st line those 2 "all stars" that they have. if they they play a team that is smart and has more depth they will lose. the team will match their best 3rs (line) to play lakevilles 1st line. i think it very possible that those guys can get beat by a better 1+2 punch in the league and outscore them. but lets just say that lakevilles first line evens out or even outscores the other teams first line maybe by a goal or 2. it wont matter because of lakevilles lack in depth the other teams able 2nd and 3rd line will walk lakevilles weaker lines and win.

all a team has to do is contain there """"all star"""" first line, and use their own depth (if they have it) to outscore theyre weaker lines

"2 all stars" ...pretty sure there are 3 "all-stars" on the 1st line, and all 3 have pretty comparable points. Check the stats!

Hey Crow River, how can you honestly talk about inconsistency when there are teams such as Rave, Lakeville, and Edina. Rave hasn't lost a game on the year, although they have tied a handful of games vs worthy opponents. Lakeville has only 2 losses and back to back championships in the Albert Lea Tournament and in the Wayzata Tournament. Edina, also has had a very good season so far. They are undefeated in league play along with a few ties, and in tournaments, they have lost to RAVE and Lakeville twice.

And if I were you Crow River, I wouldn't be talking about inconsistency before looking at your own record. That 3-9-2 record in league play though is very impressive with losses to teams like OMG, Buffalo, and Forrest Lake. But you guys tied the Tartan Goon Squad, so that makes it all better. I suggest you keep your mouth shut until you beat a team that is worthy of playing in the Jr. Gold B league and not the league for the deaf and dumb girls.

JGB -
Lakeville did not go to the championship in Albert Lea this year, they lost first round to WBL-O - They won the CONSOLATION championship.
Not saying they're not good, they have a great squad this year, just stating the facts.

Sorry SticksandStones I meant to say Championships in the Edina Tourney and the Wayzata Tourney.

And if you read my post I said I don't like you talking about there being no consistency when we are 17-2 on the season including tournaments and we are on an 11-0 run.

but if u can only handle 2nd grade literature then maybe i can upload some pictures and puzzles for you
Wow your good, i think u shoud send some cause i probably can give it to the third line and i bet they can solve it (better yet i give it to a second grader and he can probably be more smarter than u.

Dude this forums is not for flaming other ppl im just stating the facts that i read from other ppl and clearly u made a mistake. I dont y ppl are b*ing about lakeville. There just everyone else who play hockey and have talented skills and yes they had tough times to deal with during the season. I mean if u guys have the motivations to WORK HARD u could have a close game but all i see is fat and lazy ppl out there w/o any motivation. Then again there are teams that do anything to pick a fight with teams who think there all good. If you guys cant play by the rules then u should quit and sob all u want in a corner

I say lakeville will have good chance to go to state if they win there games and friendship points. Also it doesnt matter if the best team has all wins and no loses. There are teams that are better. I see potential in lakeville and other teams that will be good competition later on.

i have one request. i want u to quote me somewhere in this forum where i in anyway flame lakeville by saying they suck.

if u cant do that then dont reply.

also if u ask people not to flame or bash others then y r u saying that there are fat people without any motivation that suck. dont condradict urself

Buddha wrote:(better yet i give it to a second grader and he can probably be more smarter than u.

Lakeville goes to state no question. Their only competition in districts is Hudson and they cant go to state anyways. And of course you see potential in lakeville, they're 18-2. You might as well say you see potential in RAVE, edina, etc.

who said u was flaming lakeville or saying they suck, im just telling everyone in general >_>. i dont knw wat the heck u thinking.

For players out there, when u play against others dont u wish for a good competition. Where is the excitement when u dont have someone to challenge. Teams out there are looking for good competition and hope to compete them again. JGB which is the best lvl to have fun isnt it? better than High School?

You have to be more open minded when reading these questions they can lead to countless answers and reasonings.

not to say i dont agree with you, because i do agree that lakeville will go to state, but this is just flat out cocky

I didnt try to come across cocky. Cocky would be saying that we would go no question in the other district, where there are actually good teams, and i would never say something that stupid. But look at district 8. It has always been known for being a weak district at this level. Say my team and your team switched districts, i would say Wessy's goes to state no question. It's not a big accomplishement to make it this year through D8.

And buddha, in no way was i saying you were flaming lakeville or anything, i was just commenting, nothing more.

i do agree that district 8 is pretty weak this year except for lakeville but i have to say IGH is not a terrible team. Yeah they have gotten beat pretty bad in some games but they have only lost 3 games in 4 tournaments. They got a couple guys that can put the puck in the net and a solid goalie. I'd say Lakeville and IGH go to state from district 8.

Posted: Thu Jan 31, 2008 6:59 pm
by Buddha
Well i agree that IGH are good but compare to last year they were better, but still IGH manages to be a tough competitor even though most of the players are gone. If those 2 teams go to state this might be an amazing competition.

I can tell which ppl are commenting, but there are some ppl who just cant think at all. They just make a quick reply by reading once and dont give a thought.

I say this for sure yes sometimes it needs clear things up ppl who read it might have the wrong impression but in general most of it is true. As my academic writing teacher's say " no one is perfect, the writer who reads it will fill in the gaps because they are the ones who wrote it, so the best way is to have peer editing so they can fix it for u."

last year IGH was 10 times better. theres only 5 returning players. but all of them are goin to be returning next year too.

I think that guys should stop bashing and talking down teams that are sucessful this season. I commend teams like lakeville who have had a good run this year. Teams that goon and go out there to hurt ruin it for everyone. Hockey is about working hard and getting it done, not acting like a bunch of hard asses. I think some people need to grow up, and just play.
