It's played in Roseau again this year. After that, it sounds like it will be on a rotation basis.

Really?? Great for me, then it is close enought to go to. But why is it in Roseau again?

Something about a gliche in not getting the rotation set, or something like that. And since Roseau did such a nice job last year, they opted for them to host it again this year. IMO, any venue is better than the Gardens.

By the looks of how things will play out, it may give Roseau home advantage for the section championship. Good chance you'll see the Warriors and the Rams battle this one out this year. Crookston is struggling and EGF remains a middle of the road team.

All 3 teams are good enough to make it to state. It's a shame only one gets to go.
Maybe we should change the format for this year

: Blake, Breck, Alex., Roseau, Crookston, Warroad automatically in. Have a lottery for the other two spots!!

ya I agree. Its frustrating that Marshall or New Ulm, frontrunners in section 3A, will be at state. But Breck or blake and two of the top three teams in 8A will not be there. Crookston beat marshall 7-0. I just think its ridiculous and annoying. What can you do I guess?
I think those teams that Sioux Rule listed are a few steps above the rest of the field.
We know who you are???????????????

OK I'll give it a try
I know that this isn't possible due to team records, but here's what I think:
Roseau
Crookston
Warroad
EGF
TRF
I Falls
LOW

Scratch I-Falls and insert Park Rapids for this section.

EGF is coming to Bemidji tonight. Predictions? I'll take the Jacks 6-2.

EGF 0
Bemidji 5
Final
Pretty dominating performance in the 2nd and 3rd period. Both teams looked real flat and "blah" in the first.

TRF 2, EGF 1
It's now definately apparent that EGF was ranked way to high this year in the polls. 0-6 against the Big Three and never made it out of the quarter finals.......

now that EGF is out of the mix, TRF will be the next to fall. The first section barn burner will be Roseau vs. Crookston. Team work will prevail over individual talent.
Roseau 5
Crookston 2
Look forward to the Warroad vs. Roseau matchup thursday.

dmbenough2Bagoalie: "EGF has some young ones in scanlan, and hedlund, several others could be good. "
Dmbenough, you must be disappointed your "young ones" listed weren't good enough to get it done against a very weak TRF team. I hope they enjoy their soccer season!
