The best should have spirtuality included.

Even in our self indulgent , instant gratification, throw away world you can drive by a church on Sunday morning or a synagogue on Sat and the parking lot will be full.

I still think the schools offer such different things that you have to make an individual choice based on your goals, BUT, if you're just looking at the hockey, check out a few specifics.

If your hockey goal is to play beyond high school, check out the history of how many players go to D1 schools, etc. I think you'll find it may not match percentage wise whether they are from an A or an AA school. Some of it has to do with how connected and proactive the coach and the school is.

If your hockey goal is to be a starting player or go to state, go watch some of the varsity and JV games and assess where you stand relative to the up and coming players, how strong the team is and what kind of support program they offer (i.e., goalie coach? weight training program? solid coach?)

You just can't generalize as to "best", but you can break down the specifics of what the school has to offer in sports and academics pretty easily. They have records that are easily checked as to who goes where after high school.

I'd have to say Hill - in terms of hockey, since private teams have been allowed to go to the regular state tourny, no other team -private or public - has made more trips then hill. Plus, more kids from hill have gone on to play in the NHL then any private other school in the state. (I don't think this includes Shattuck)

Plus the academics are pretty dang hard. And the school is pretty cheap compared with the private schools in the area.

Still, in terms of hockey, Hill is a ton better the majority of the time.

Cretin- Derham Hall is a great school no matter what you are looking for. We've got a great hockey team, football team, baseball team and whatever else you can think of. All of the students here are great kids which can be really hard to find. It is relativly cheap only 8,800 dollars despite what the Hill Murry man said, and there is a lot of financial aid avaible if that seems to be to much. We compete in the highest classes in all sports. Most of our teams are no cut Freshmen year (with the exception of hockey because you can play Bantams). The academics are great and most of the teachers understand how busy student- athletes are and will give you an extention on most assignments if you just can't get it done. Not to mention we hardly ever have a full week of school wether we have a late start on Wednesday or a half day some day. You should definatly check it out if you get a chance.

Well, the HM fans have a right to their history but there has been quite a bit of it since the last Championship.

AHA and CDH have kept a little more current in hockey championships.

Football, Basbeall and Basketball... CDH by a wide margin over anybody.

But it looks like the HM fans can sing ....which is nice.

Which school is the most expensive?

They are all about the same except for STA which is almost twice as much.
