Looking at where teams finished last year and what some of last years early predictions were and how it ended, my thought is it is fun to guess but in the end with this many talented teams anything can happen just look at the 2 lakeville teams from last year one was rated #1 most of the year and finished out of top ten the other rated below 15 most of the year and finished 5th who would have guessed but maybe the teams themselves. Good luck to everyone and look forward to another great year.

NiceIce - maybe you could explain why you think this?
Beating Jefferson 8-4 tells me that they must have a pretty good team in Hermantown this season, but #1 hands down?????
I would say Top 20 - sure - maybe even top 15, but I would need to see more than 2 wins Vs non-discript teams plus beating Jefferson.....
Then after I write all that - I see they lost 3-0 to Rosemount.
Sooooo, maybe top 20 could be in the cards.
I would need to see more from them.....

Jefferson beat Duluth East 5-4 Saturday morning but it was a 5-2 game wtih a couple of soft goals late. Hermantown then beat Jefferson 7-4 Saturday night with 4 goals scored by their big winger. Then Jefferson beat Cloquet 6-4 in a scrimmage on Sunday scoring all 6 in the first hour.
A win over # 5 Duluth East should move them up and looks like Htown is a strong team and hsould be a top 10 also. Jefferson's got a test with AV on Tuesday and Tonka on Sunday so we wil see what they are made of this week.

Can someone help me understand why Eagan is not on the top 20 list? I was under the impression they would have a strong team this year.

That's a good question breakout. I believe they recently lost to Wayzata 4-3. I don't think a one goal game vs #1 gets you out of the top 20?

I haven't seen any scores posted for Eagan.... though it looks like they were solid last year. Any insight into how they are doing this year?

I believe they should be better this year vs. last year..........time will tell.
It seems that there are many teams that try to improve their team rank by sending in scores..............especially wins vs. higher ranked teams. Some teams don't go that route and let their play do the talking. Frankly, it all works out in the end.
Tournament information seems to be sent into Let's Play Hockey.

Is there parity in the Pee Wee ranks? Seems there are a lot of good teams, but no super teams. Wayzata and Coon Rapids could be an exception.

Why is everyone giving Duluth East so much credit this early they haven't beat anyone so far, 2 loses to jefferson they got ripped by lkv south 6-0 don't agree with top 10 yet. Hermantown just got shut out by a god awful rosemount team 3-0, Eden Praire is just a name this year no more no less the struggled up in duluth and had to hang on to beat eastview.no way does lkv north get a top 15 bad goaltending will not be there at the end. Now to some positive Blaine is for real their big and fast,Jefferson is having a real good start just had a tough game vs.a good Apple Valley team but should be there in the end.

Duluth East handed Coon Rapids their only loss of the season so far. That alone tells me something.
Yes, Hermantown got shut out by Rosemount (I think their only loss so far), but they also beat a good Jefferson Team 7-4.
Apple Valley lost to Blaine and Anoka, just this weekend. That alone should cause them to slip in the ranks a bit for now. (Sure maybe AV was short handed a bit, but that doesn't change the fact that they lost. I would think you would be more critical of your team)
Blaine lost to Champlin Park (who has good goaltending and 1 scorer) and had to have a 2 quick goals at the end of a game to tie Coon Rapids.
Burnsville lost to Moorhead and handily to Jefferson. They have beat non-discript teams so far.
I am not here intending to rip any team. It is early in the season and things will change and shake out better. My rankings are based on scores and performances to this point in the season. As well as my personal opinions from what I have been able to formulate to this point.

EP struggled to beat Eastview..? EP is just a name, no more no less?
Wow - G33 must hate those pesky Eagles. It's very early, like MP said.
Did lose by 1 goal to CR and DE. CR had (3 or 4) - 5 on 3 power plays and atleast (5) 5-4 power plays. DE was a bad game on Ep's part, but I am not even from EP and don't see how you can slam them so early in the season...You might be surprised by them later on - Only time will tell.

Gaborik33 is right on with his rankings. Good to see that someone can see the game in the same way I do w/o any biases. How did Jefferson look vs AV? Sounds like you were @ the game last night. Was Jefferson in the game or were they luck to be there in the end.

Jefferson looked strong, it was a back and forth game. Jefferson will be one of the top 4 teams in D6.

i think its a mixed bag after the top 4 or 5 teams. anyone in the next 25-30 will be ranked in the top 20 this season and potentially make it to state. wayzata, coon rapids and edina should be the cream rising to the top.
