i don't like Warroad, but until someone beats them, they're at the top of section 8JV.

I really dont know about offers...i have heard some rumors....but rumors may not be true....but yes....the best in 8a..no doubt.....the kid can almosth handle a whole team by himself....he has shown this last year....that may be a "bit" of an exaggeration but still....it has been said...but he cant win a section 8atitle alone thatsforsure....although PR will haev a strong team this coming season no doubt about that....i just cant wait to see what happens...no matter how good PR is or could be...they will NEVER be on top in some peoplpes minds....it comes odown to the season...i feel it will be close one..like i have said before....and SB..i look foreward to our conversations : )

I think i should move to Park Rapids, must be something in the water over there...
EDIT:
I just figured it out,
Park Rapids is the new Baudette. They used to be so cocky (not necessarily on here) when they'd get an above average player and they'd think they owned the world, but at the end of the day they never got to a section championship game... so from here on out i shall name PR "LOW Jr"

LOW Jr. is going to suck. Maybe 3rd or 4th in the section. Park Rapids, i'm sorry "LOW Jr." is not a hockey town. Is it? I didn't even think they knew what ice skating was. Where is LOW Jr. anyway? Center of the state? Do they have an outdoor rink? Maybe they play their in LOW Sr.'s rink.

Boy you're making friends fast. Even if they finish third I wouldn't say they suck. That means they would with the likes of Warroad, Bemidji, TRF, EGF, and finishing ahead of one of them. Just because they haven't had hockey there since the beginning of the 20th century does not mean that can't play.

East Side will be in there.
They have almost everybody back and the goalie.
They were almost there last year, but, I believe suffered from the "new coach" syndrome.
This is a big concern, because, Chupka did not seem to have control of his team in that playoff game against TRF.
If he doesn't get conrol of that, then, goodbye EGF.
But, I believe he will, and EGF will be going to state this year.

Contenders: Warroad, TRF, Park Rapids
Sleepers: EGF, Bemidji
Down from last year: LOW, Crookston
Same as usual: RLF, Bagley-Fosston, Kittson Central
New to it all: Leech Lake (Walker)
section 8a prediction

i agree warroad will win the section, but look to low to be a dark horse in the section. they have a great young goalie a couple of solid defensemen in ewald, hornvedt. Joncarlo Westerlund should put up some nice offensive numbers, and that hasbargen isn't bad.

Instead of starting a new thread I will simply post the question here since this would be the group with the inside info (if there is any). Does anyone know if section8ahockey.com is going to be up and running. For the past few months the site has been offline. The owner of the site does a great job, please don't give up.

The coaches send all of the info for that site to the owner. He can only post what the coaches send him. There have been a lot of changes in section 8A the last couple of years and this is just another one. I was told it is in "wait and see" mode because the previous guy may not be intrested in continueing if they can find someone else to do it.
Same as last year

its def warroad section. only 5 seniors on the team last year.they did lose Aaron Marvin but with Ravndalen, Hahn and Shaugabay coming back for a team that had the eventual state champs hermantown on the ropes in the tourney.talent wont be an issue with warroad like always its there section to lose

Section 8a...

Warroad will own this section until Bemidji shows up second half...
1. Bemidji
2. Warroad
3. EGF
4. Park Rapids
5. TRF
6. Crookston/LOW
7. LOW/Crookston
8. Bagley/Walker
9. Walker/Bagley
We will see if Bemidji has the late kick that everyone thinks they will... For some reason there is a slight buzz about Walker and how they have been playing together for soooo long but I am not buying that. Bagley has a new coach and who knows what he will bring but the numbers are just not there... THe rest is a wash with EGF being young and PR having a few play makers...
DEFINITELY GOING TO BE INTERESTING!
