Unbelievable scene. Beyond SRO; oversold the arena by 500. A sea of Canada Maple Leafs. A member of the Canadian Jr team was introduced before the game. None of the Canadian fans around us expected anything less than a convincing defeat of the US team. The two early goals kept the crowd out of the game. The US team kept the pressure on the entire game. The score was pretty indicative of the play. A particularly nice win after some of the pre-tourney shenanigans pulled on the US team.

xwildfan, care to elaborate on this?
I also thought that U.S. was the better team and clearly deserved the win. Canada has no excuses.

The shots were very even in the gold medal game. I am not sure that the score was relative to the gameplay, but US did bury chances better than Cannada, obviously.

I watched the last half of the game and USA had the upper hand for the most part. In the third period, Canada had several penalties which hurt them too. I would say the the puck was in the Canada end at least 65% of the time and most of the scoring chances were by the USA. USA seem to have more oveall team speed. Clearly the wooped Canada, no fluke, just plain beat them

Nothing major; just stuff that was a little irritating and didn't show much class on the host's part (Canada). It obviously didn't help Canada's cause.
