Always hard to see points come off the board but its the right call. Waiving this one keeps it a game for awhile.

Century got lucky. They are getting dominated.

Geez! So Century goes and takes another penalty. Rams will start the 2nd period on another power play with a chance to nearly put this one away.

I wonder if Century's game plan is to skate 4 on 5 for awhile and then overpower the Rams when they play a smarter game and skate 5 ????

Roseau - 2
Rochester Century - 0

END OF FIRST PERIOD

i think something should be done for that rule. With his skate barely in the crease and really having NOTHING to do with the shot i think it should have counted. Not that i think it will matter in this one, but still

If Century continues to take stupid penalties this will be a blow-out in no time.

Goldy - You are right about Wilcox - terrible yesterday, terrible 1st period tonight. Move your feet, move the puck, stay out of the box.
Same thing goes for Knutson as well.

I am hoping the Panthers keep it close...something like 5-3 would be decent.

As far as Faupel....great scoring touch, but will he be able to do it next year when his linemates will be Arens and Madden?

I liked the little clips of the mic'd coaches. That Burnsville coach was impressive.

slapshooter - be honest here. I've watched the Rams play both yesterday and this evening and they appear to be men amongst boys. I have not seen a team that has so many tic, tac, toe passes in a long time. They are the bees knees in this tourney and I don't think anybody will stop them. If the Spuds beat this team twice handily, this easily could have been their year to take the title. Any comments?

Good point Nut, Faupel is doing what he needs to do since Knoepke and Grimstad have always been very good pinpoint passers around the net, it's all working out well for them. He doesn't create much but gets to the net exactly when he needs too. Arens is a very good player, those two should work out ok I think next year. Of course not like this year, but they will have some talent there, we'll see though.

So will the Warroad people go and loot the homes of the Roseau folks since they will all be home a day earlier?

This could prove to be a problem. I can't believe a community with that many high school teams would only have one Bantam A team.

A few parents with kids playing on those Bantam A and PWA teams with power that what GLORY, simple as that, nothing else...
