You missed my point then. My point is that it's been talked about enough and beaten to death then someone brings it up again. No one has yet to explain why teams must opt up. In my opinion it's a tier system if you allowed to opt up. We could have two great tournaments with the system we have, and hey, maybe both Roseau and Moorhead could take home a trophy the same year.

They did the class system in terms of enrollment.
If they wanted to divide teams talent wise they would use the tier system.
They use the class system, thus STA should not opt up.

The Cadets will open the tournament up by winning a high flying game. Orono will keep things interesting by anwsering with a goal here and there...but I think STA gets two for every one the Spartans get.

STA will not repeat. They should beat Orono. Remember the 2004 quarters though. Highly favored Warroad overconfident, brash filled with NHL draft choices and D1 players. Hubris can get you.
PS: all schools without district boundries should play at the top of their class!

wow crandall is terrible. 2 shots 1 goal and that goal was an incredible weak five hole goal slow on the ice
