How did Gierke play? Shots?

He got pulled. after the 5 goal. it was 5 goals and 12 shots. Tartan had 24 at the time. Hermantown couldn't miss anything. by the end of the game the shots ended up 31 for Tartan and 21 for Hermantown.

Centennial dominates Blaine 2-0, blaine was outshot 30-9 and had only one real chance to score.

East gets by Elk River 1-0 in double overtime. It was an even game all day. East Goalie stole a goal in the first period. East scored on a power play. East only gave up 1 goal all weekend!!!!

South Region

White Bear Lake 3, Faribault 2 OT

Fbo took the lead early going up 2-0 but WBL ended up winning it early in overtime. WBL plays Lakevill South to go to state tomorrow.

So is Rochester already in state, or do they have to play somebody to make it to state too?

No, I believe Rochester plays Highland/Central to go to state, not Eagan. Highland beat Eagan 5-1.

Edina had an inside pipe in the second period that would have tied the game at 1. Overall Edina outplayed E.P. in almost the whole game but the thing that made the difference was Meyers, he won the game for them. Overall it was a very fun game to watch with a good high pace of play.
Outplayed EP almost the whole game? Interesting perspective Woody.

In what way besides for a little chunk of the 2nd period did E.P. control play? Edina did not "dominate" I just thought they outplayed E.P.

I agree...Ep did probably play a stronger 2nd period then Edina, but overall Edina did outplay EP. The only difference was the goaltending Meyers put on. Granted he was lucky most of the time, but in my opinion, Edina just couldn't find the right bounces. I guess that is sometimes how the cookie crumbles though...

Eden Prairie is better, always has been, and deserves state over Edina. I can't even stand thinking bout how Edina almost stole the number one seed in D6 just because of their fair play points. EP is the best team in state and should be where they are. They'll probably end up winning the whole thing too, and they deserve to win it...but just because they deserve it doesnt mean they will. I'm just saying this basically "EP is where they should be, Edina is where they should be"

Chuck....how about givin SOME credit to the other team and the other goalie who also "stole some goals"..... it could have gone either way.....

"lucky goaltending".....no bounces for Green....hard to believe EP beat Edina 5 times this year isn't it?

Edina is not where they should be, they may not be better than E.P., Centennial and those top 3 or 4 teams but they do deserve to be in state. You are correct saying E.P. is where they should be, mostly thanks to Meyers.

When in this were we talking about the past games? This was really the only game that I thought Edina looked like a better team.
