Tim McManus. He was the star QB and a top player on the team last year but is going to Dartmouth, from what I heard, next year.

So wait. I'm confused. Their back up Goalie held St Thomas to 3 goals, Guggs let in more goals, and he in fact didn't score for Richfield. Hmmm...

McManus probably wouldn't have made it this year, but none the less is a solid hockey player. He is a great athlete who is going to Dartmouth on a football scholarship next year.

Good try Goofy Guggs

You really don't think he would've made it this year? He was a huge part of the offense last year. Maybe you're someone at the school and has insider knowledge but losing both him and Shroeder was really disappointing.

Timmy McManus wouldn't have been a huge factor this year. But he's a great kid.

Hmmm, well I don't know about him, but I'd take going to college for free and getting to play football for another 4 years, maybe more, over playing hockey one more year. Just me.
I think it's great how people can run their mouths before the game about how somehow Guggs is going to score goals for Richfield and St Thomas is going to get crushed then when they get shut out no one has anything to say...

Sounded like a pretty one sided game. St Thomas proved me wrong and got more than 51 shots which i did not think they would get. good game by Guggs though to keep richfield somewhat close.
Guggs

He is definitely a great goalie, played as well as one can expect. 50 saves aint bad...

I'm not at all trying to put Guggs down. The best goalie can't with a game with no defense and no offense to score. What were the shots? How'd Guggs look?

Gugg's looked good!
Its the rest of Richfields team that desided not to show up tonight. Granted Richfields best guy didn't play tonite (injury) #15 but Richfield didn't show the hustle and scrappyness where used to seeing.
I guess if Richfield is only going to beat STA once this year, let it be when all the marbles are in the line!
But its going to be one and done come sections if the Spartans repeat this preformance I don't care who the play!

Hmmm...still none of the "Guggs will score them goals" people commenting on the result. Funny.

STA
IS NOT going to state this year!
The mini wana be gopher recruits with that stupid circle dance they copied, makes everybody sick! I now know why they are so hated.
If they had any
balls at that place they would play AA, but than the little cadets wouldn't have such a cake walk to state and nobody would show up to play there anymore.
I can't wait to see HShockeywatcher post after Lourdes sends them packing this year if they make it that far!
Good night everyone!

When Lourdes beats St Thomas for the first time in the last 3 years I will publicly admit I have no idea what I am talking about in anything I write.
I'm not being a poor winner at all. This game St Thomas was expected to win. I'm just curious how everyone can come on here and telling me how much of a jerk I am for questioning how a team that couldn't score before will now score with a new goalie. No one responded to that and continued to call me names and tell me I had no idea what I was talking about but I haven't heard anything from any of them since the game ended.
Good day
