5-2 final Duluth Marshall.
Very impressive !Duluth Marshall won’t be a pushover in 7AA playoffs. I wonder who they’ll play in QFinals?

Can Rapids catch Forest Lake now? What’s the tie breaker margin for QRF?

they don’t have the margin up yet but last year was 6.3 so they would need to be at least 7 points up on Elk River to move past 6 since elk beat them back in Dec

Presumably, Flake will fall with the loss to Marshall tonight. The question is just one of how far. Coming into the week, they were 9.3 points up on Elk River and 12.9 up on Rapids. They've lost to both, so if they end up in the tiebreaker margin with either, they'll finish behind them. To give some perspective, Grand Rapids gained 7.8 points last week, when they picked up the win over Wayzata. So it's possible that gap could close enough to at least bump Elk River to 4 and Flake to 5, but it would probably take a few things lining up nicely for GR to jump Flake for the 5. GR's win over Bemidji tonight (which had been comparably ranked) probably helps some, and they could help their cause a lot by doing something against Cloquet next week. Flake has Stillwater (likely loss) and Mounds View (likely win) left before the seeding comes out, while the Elks have Osseo (likely win) and Armstrong/Cooper and Irondale (probably competitive?) left.

Need Elk River and GR to both catch FL for a 3 way tie. Then I believe you’ll have FL at CEC and GR at ER

I see that Elk River plays Friday the 15th so probably after the games are played on the 15th.

If they all tie then yes i think that would be right as Er would be 4 GR 5 and Flake 6

Top 3 are locked in. No way of being misplaced. I think Forest Lake will end up 6, elk at 5, and Rapids will get the 4. Crazy. Rapids down and still get a home playoff game. Andover, East, and Grand Rapids will be fighting for the 1 seed next year

. CEC wil be a dark horse.

Rapids would have to beat Hermantown n Cec plus have elk lose all their games to gain enough to get out of the breaker with ER otherwise 5 is the best GR can get..Since Elk beat rapids

Well, Grand Rapids beat Wayzata. CEC hasn’t beaten a team even close to that talented this year. Second, Cloquet was more talented last year then this years squad in purple and Grand Rapids thumped em in Rapids last year. Rapids and Elk will fight for 4. Flake will be a 6 this year. Garranteeeeed......

4. Rapids
5. Elk
6. Flake
Looks like the purple will be seeing a good Forest Lake team again this year. Barely escaped with a 5-4 win down there last week

I’ll be surprised if Rapids is at Home against Elk River. My money is on a road trip to Elky.

Grand Rapids last two games: Tue, Feb 12 vs. C-E-C. Thu, Feb 14 at Hermantown
Elk River last 4 games: Feb 9 vs. Irondale/St. Anthony, Mon, Feb 11 at Osseo, Thu, Feb 14 at AC Wings, Fri, Feb 15 vs. Champlin Park
Forest Lake last two games: Sat, Feb 9 vs. Mounds View, Thu, Feb 14 vs. Roseville
(Stillwater to be rescheduled)
Grand Rapids needs to win at least one game. May not win either.
Elk River needs to win two games, should win two if not three.
Forest Lake should win both games (Stillwater game may not be played in time to count.).
I don't see QRF changing enough to get Grand Rapids in position for the tie breaker.
Elk River may move up enough to get in reach for the tie breaker to kick in.
I am guessing it will still be
4 FLAke
5 Elk River and
6 Grand Rapids.

If the coaches voted the seeds would be set in stone this year. It looks as straight forward as you could get it.
1. Andover
2. Duluth East
3. Cloquet
4. Elk River
5. Grand Rapids
6. Duluth Marshall
7. Forest Flake
8. St. Francis
9. Cambridge
If anyone dares have the thought that Forest Lake belongs anywhere but 7, stifle yourself.

And that DJ is why Flake coach is the #1 advocate for QRF. Cuz it benefits them more than the old way.

If he had any integrity at all he would rescind the 4 seed to Elk River and ask to be placed at 7 as they lost to EVERY team 1-6 they played.

QRF Monday 2-11-19
No. 3 Andover (140.0)
No. 12 Duluth East (118.1)
No. 28 C-E-C (88.2)
No. 36 Forest Lake (78.4)
No. 38 Elk River/Zimmerman (73.1)
No. 42 Grand Rapids (69.3)
No. 53 Duluth Marshall (60.4)
No. 59 St. Francis (49.7)
No. 69 Cambridge-Isanti (21.9)
The tie breaker is usually around 6 or 6.5.
Elk River is in striking distance of FLake.
GRapids will need to beat CEC to get there, I am gusessing.
