At this point Tonka wins a tie breaker with Burnsville based on fewer losses. Assuming they have the same number of FPP in games they've played each other.

HOLY COW!!
Hockey Guy1486 - That is without a doubt the single most dominating period I have ever seen between two quality Bantam B teams in District 6! Well done. I will be forfeiting if we are matched up against the Braves in the playoffs. 5-0 after one period was fun to watch - unless you had a hornet on your chest and a glove on your left hand.
Burnsville 7 (+ HEP)
Edina Green 0 (+ HEP)

so the way i read this ...
example
team A wins 1st game 1-0 and both get FPP ( 3-1 pts )
team A & B tie in 2nd game but only B gets FPP ( 1-2 pts )
-----
total (4-3) pts - team A advances ????
KOHO wrote:According to District 6
Head to head competition among the tied teams, determined by points (2 for a win, 1 for a tie, 1 Fair Play point). The position of each team is determined in order of highest total point count, regardless of the number of times the tied teams met in league play.
16.2.2 Most wins in League play.
16.2.3 Fewest losses in League play.
16.2.4 Most Fair Play points earned in League play.
16.2.5 Largest goal differential among tied teams. (six goal max per game).
16.2.6 Greatest quotient; goal for divided by goals against among the tied teams.
16.2.7 Largest goal differential for all league play. (six goal max per game).
16.2.8 Greatest quotient, goals for divided by goals against for all league play.
16.2.9 Flip of a coin done by league official in the presence of the District Director.
When a position has been determined by the criteria in 1-5, and there are at least two teams remaining in a tied condition, then the tie breaking criteria will be reinitiated among the remaining teams.
Love the last one

Correct. Would that surprise you? Team A won one and tied one and Team B never beat Team A.

not a surprise - just one team got 2 FPP's and one team got 1,
so i wondered if they had some crazy rule for that ?

Tonka can seal first place with a win and a FP tonight against Chaska.
Burnsville can seal second with 4 pts in last two games against AV. Outside chance of first with two wins, two FP and Tonka losing a point.
EP Red can come in 2nd, with a win, FP over Edina White, and Burnsville only getting 2 of the next 6 pts.
EP Black can come in 2nd with a win and FP over Chaska AND Burnsville getting 1 of 6 AND EP Red getting 1 of 3.
the rest is a battle to stay out of the Play-in games.
Chaska needs 3 pts from Tonka and EP Black to put both Edina's in the play-in round.
The last week is going to be exciting. For those of us in D6, I'm sure the rest of you don't care.

Someone left the door open . . .
With 6 minutes left in the game, Chaska nets their 3rd to tie it up.
2 minutes of overtime couldn't decide it and it ends . . .
Tonka 3
Chaska 3
(didn't see the whole game, but asked and it didn't sound like anyone lost a HEP pt)

Both got fair play. Which means Burnsville can win with 6 points in there last 2 games.

Overtime? Is that standard in your district? In district 2 we never see overtime, in fact many games end early cuz the hour of ice is up. Great coaches strategy, just call a time out near the end of a tight game if the other team is pressing...
overtime in D6

After regulation play, we take a mandatory 1 min. time out, and then play whatever time is left on the hour clock, which is often very little. In Bantams the hour clock is actually 75 minutes.
Teams can not take a time out in D6...t

Re: Tonka
I've seen them play a lot this season, and didn't see the whole game tonight, but I have to say I am surprised they're a contender for first place. From what I saw tonight, they continue to be very inconsistent. I don't know if it's a lack of discipline, apathy, or plain lack of skill. Who knows, but it seems like they make the same mistakes over and over, while other teams get better and better. Me thinks their season might end early. . .

In D6 if there is a tie in regulation, and there is time on the hour clock, (75min for BB1) they play however much time is left. I think there has to be at least 3 min left.????
this is how it should be, nobody running away with the division, First and last will be decided on the last day of the season. (If Burnsville gets all 3 tonight.)

The kids in D-2 play 3 - 11 minute periods and that's it, the majority of the games are 45 minutes long, drop of the puck to finish. It a fricken joke. javascript:emoticon('')

Demongoed. Yes they haven't learned how to put teams away yet. They are 11-2-3 in an awefully strong district so I don't know about the "inconsistency". Anyway, I think Blueblood said it best,
"Defense, Goaltending and special teams win in the post season"
Let the games begin!

Imagine that. After all the yelling and complaining at the beginning (and middle) of the season that life wasn't fair, and the teams weren't picked right, the two DE teams could be tied for first place after their last game. The deciding factor will be lowest goals allowed, which will probably mean the Red team.

Eagle you are correct, the door is swinging....it is also swinging for the race to who makes playoffs. If apple valley can win one of these games they should make it. If they loose both I think they are out.
Do you have your boys ready Nonconsistency?

if edina white beats prior lake - we are in
not sure that means much - but it would
be great for the kids to experience.
and we would play edina white.
if prior lake wins that game or it ties - i think we are out....
good luck to all - can't believe Chaska tied Tonka -
we beat Chaska and they didn't look very good,
but that was earlier in the season...
good grief - all those years of school and i spelled consistency with an A.
LOLOLOL - well it was late one night....
we would need both FPP's .vs. burnsville
also assumes Edina white does not beat EPRed.
