ep red is by far a more talented hockey team than jefferson. they were quicker, they moved the puck better, they just had an off night last night. look for them to play extremely well against white bear tonite in a scrimmage.

EP red did play good against WBL. They pretty much dominated them on way to a 4-2 victory. WBL got a meanless goal at the end otherwise it would have been 4-1.

eden prairie really outplayed white bear lake, with this win over them they have shown that they can stand up to big strong teams, look for them to find out how good they really are against both edina teams this week.

Not sure of the score, although Edina White beat WBL Black, and moved on to the second round. WBL Black didn't get the wild card either, so I'm guessing Edina had a clear path to the championship only competition maybe being Chaska who also moved on to Sunday's games.

i believe the score of the game between them was 5-1. Looks like White will probably put another championship under their belt after winning the Moose in WBL

My mother told me that if I did not have anything nice to say, do not say anything at all.
I've been doing a bunch of reading and not much posting. I think there are too many kids posting and fighting with my boy IceBreaker. I've got my finger on the D3 pulse though. Here's what I've heard and seen.
Heard: Blue came from 3-0 down to tie Gold in the 3rd period playing with 11 skaters.
Heard: Blake came from behind in the 3rd to beat Gold from 2-0 to win 3-2.
Seen: Blake and Maple Grove play a sloppy penalty filled tie on Saturday. Neither team played like I've seen in the past.
Seen: Blue destroy Maple Grove last night. Blue still had three not in uniform on the bench.
It is my opinion that D3 is a two horse race. My next hockey filled weekend will be of the D10 variety. I'll let you all know.
Is it true that Edina White lost its first game? Who has them next? Pounce!
I think they have the EP battery coming up before the big Edina Tournament. Someone knock the confidence out of them. When did the Midwest regional become the holiday tournament for the Minnesota teams to go to? Its always been about Edina.

Thanks for the D3 roundup SPS! I look forward to your D10 analysis of teams such as Elk River, Champlin Park and Chisago Lakes, who I hear is having a good season.
Edina is a quality tournament, but the Midwest Regional has some good BB1 teams this year with 3 very competitive pools:
Red Pool
Blaine
Chaska
EP Black
Wayzata Gold
White Pool
Andover
Lakeville South
Littleton, CO
Minnetonka
Blue Pool
Bloomington Jefferson
Champlin Park
Rochester (Red?)
Woodbury

Sunday in Blaine:
Ship: Blaine over B Jefferson 4-1
3rd: Burnsville over Omaha
Cons: Stillwater over Andover
Happy: Sartell over B Park
Blaine beats Stillwater, Burnsville, B Jeff to take title.
Andover: steadily improving
B Park: sloppy
Sartell: nice goaltending
Omaha: welcome to MN hockey
Stillwater: good spark but lacks depth
B Jeff: solid team but small
Burnsville: good speed and puck movement - also small
Blaine: good depth, size and physical.

Some games are missing (District 10 hasn't updated in a week?!?!), but I've got in here what I could dig up. I know, I know... Elk River #1? But all I can say is it is objective... there is no "bias" in this ranking. It matters who you beat, and by how much - simple as that. Wanna settle it? Then the powers that be in ER and Edina need to set up a scrimmage!
