If they want a shot at winning the section they’ll pick Chiodo rather than another former Rapids player. Chiodo is a proven winner.

They will choose Reed Larson. Is there any doubt.

Either one would be a good choice. Who knows, maybe Beau Geisler is in the mix too. Another qualified possibility who’s a good guy and coach.

He would be okay as an interim coach. If they want to win the section this year, they are better candidates.

Wade C has done the coaching gig and know what its like- good and bad
He may want to stick to scouting, traveling, etc.
My guess is if Grand Rapids wants him they will need to convince him.

I pretty sure he took a couple teams to state within the last five years. He’s more than qualified. The interim thing is not going to happen😳.

It’s the locker room. Unrest in the locker room and the season has not even begun. Maybe this year and the last several years is standard protocol in boys high school hockey. And I have to adjust my excpectations.

I’m not sure. I hope he stays with the Wilderness though. I like Christian Galatz a lot. But I like the team a lot, a lot, a lot more.

You would think that CEC is a private school from the 612 with all the drama that happens in that program

I heard that Rapids is now in the LSC. Ashland got voted out and it looks like Rapids is in.

Kniven-how do you know there is unrest in the locker room? Are you in the locker room witnessing it first hand or is it rumors?

Great hire. I didn't have him on my short list necessarily, but the hire checks all of the boxes. Excited for the new coach!

I Scene the athletics department from Rapids post something two weeks ago about joining the Lake Superior Conference but I couldn’t read it , it’s a absolute Disaster for the hockey team.
Superior does no good for them I believe they play single A for Wisconsin  proctor is just like playing Eveleth again probably worse #-o . I get it traveling is a big factor for all sports but come on play Bemidji twice , brainerd twice , Roseau twice make Duluth East play twice at least those schools are AA

Rapids finally got it right in hiring a coach. They will be a tough out in Sections. I’d guess that the hockey aspect in the LSC will be tweeked for them. I can see where they would be allowed to remove North Shore and/or Proctor from the schedule. It is a great fit for all other sports.
